Okay, but for my smol omega Taehyung au.

Just think of his face when Yoongi and his alpha friends surprise him for some reason at his elementary school. Like, the little pup is beyond sad because his own alpha dad has to tend to pack things on the day his school is having an “alpha” lunch event and he thinks he has no one to go spend time with him. He’s honestly just so fucking sad the entire day before. His little shoulders sag and his electric blue eyes seem duller than normal and he’s not really crying but his wide orbs are watery. The small pup doesn’t even want to go play with Jimin in the river like normal either, he’s just that sad about having no alpha to join him at school.

It literally hurts Yoongi’s heart so much to see his future mate just look so unhappy.

For hours all Yoongi can think about is the way Taehyung had hugged him, barely really, after he’d picked up and dropped off the omega pup from school that day. It’d made him frown because normally he’d have to bribe Taehyung with treats to go inside and do his school work.

Seokjin, his close alpha friend, seems to notice that he’s distracted and finally decides to just ask.

“Man, why do you look like someone pissed in your cheerios this morning?”

It shows how bothered Yoongi is by his unhappy pup just by the way he completely ignores the jab from Jin.

“Taehyung…” It’s all that needs to leave his mouth for all the alpha friends near him to perk up. Ever since that day Taehyung had introduced himself, with giggles, as Yoongi’s future mate, everyone had fallen for the little pup with bright blue eyes.

“Is he hurt?” Hoseok stares at him with worry all over his face.“

“Do we need to murder anyone?” Namjoon growls.

It really means so much to Yoongi that his future pack mates already care so much about his future mate. He can’t help but grin at them and chuckle a bit.

“No, it’s nothing like that.” Yoongi sighs. “It’s just the elementary school is having some eat with alphas day or some shit and Taehyung’s dad is busy and can’t go. Puppy is unhappy he has no one and it’s affecting me too.”

Seokjin sighs before reaching over to smack the back of his head.

“He has an alpha beside his dad you know, he has you.”

The day of the lunch at Taehyung’s school, Yoongi gets Taehyung’s mom to drop him off at class. He feels a bit bad about it because it’s normally him who walks the pup, anything to get more time with him, but this time he really wants to surprise Taehyung.

It really just makes Taehyung’s mood worse.

The pup wakes up and gets dressed and is confused when his mom lets him know she’ll be dropping him off. His small shoulders just sag even more so than before because now he feels like even Yoongi has left him. When he gets to his classroom he’s so quiet even his teachers start to wonder if he’s really okay. Jimin whines because his usual playmate just wants to nap or color by himself.

By the time lunch rolls around, the pup is just exhausted.

He slowly, slower than normal, walks to where all the alphas and his friends are eating and sit at his table quietly. He just reeks of sadness and hurt and even the alphas around him try to cheer him up but it doesn’t work. The pup just politely thanks them for their snacks they give and puts his head down on the table in front of him.

Taehyung is just so out of his normal mood, he completely misses the familiar alpha scent moving closer to him.  The little pup is just so sad, he doesn’t notice when literally like ten people sit right next to him.

That is, until he hears that familiar voice.

“Why is my puppy so sad, hm?”

Taehyung’s head snaps up and his eyes widen so much as he notices Yoongi. The elder doesn’t even get the chance to say anything else before Taehyung is launching himself into the alpha’s arms with a loud yell.

“YOONIE!!!!”

Yoongi’s alpha friend coo and even Yoongi pulls the pup closer to his chest, just finally happy to not have Taehyung smelling so sad.

“YOONIE WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!”

Taehyung nuzzles his nose against Yoongi’s cheek, in their normal way of greeting, and Yoongi laughs happily.

“We heard it was alpha day,” Yoongi grins and leaves a small kiss on Taehyung’s head.  “Did you really think we’d leave you alone?”

So can we like…start normalizing the idea that not everyone dates or has their first boyfriend/girlfriend in junior high or high school?

There are plenty of people who go into college with little to no dating experience. There are tons of people who go into college having not had their first kiss yet. It’s not wrong; everyone experiences things at a different pace, and that’s okay. Don’t feel pressured into doing things you’re not comfortable with at the time just because you feel like you have to fill some sort of “quota.”
