Prompt: Tianlang-jun drags Zhuzhi-lang to watch his roller derby fave Su Xiyan

“What a beautiful hit! Did you see that?!” Tianlang-jun frantically grabs Zhuzhi-lang’s shoulders and gives him a hearty shake. “Cang Qiong’s jammer doesn’t stand a chance against my wife!”

Zhuzhi-lang keeps a tight hold on his glasses; he’s used to them dislodging and slipping down his nose because of his uncle’s tireless excitement. 

Whenever Huan Hua is scheduled for a bout, Tianlang-jun inevitably drags Zhuzhi-lang along with the excuse that he can’t miss a chance to see his wife play. Zhuzhi-lang has given up trying to convince Tianlang-jun that he can’t technically be married to a woman who doesn’t know he exists. It’s better to let him dream. 

Su Xiyan taps her hips to call off the jam. Strands of unruly dark hair have slipped free from her long braid, she glances into the audience as she brushes them out of the way. 

Tianlang-jun blows her a kiss. It’s difficult to tell if she sees it or not but her usual stern countenance lifts almost imperceptibly.

“Ah,” Tianlang-jun sighs. “She truly is a goddess among women.”

The shrill starting whistle blows and Zhuzhi-lang watches Su Xiyan ruthlessly slam her way to the front of the pack. He scratches his cheek with nails painted the same shimmering green as the serpent piercing that frames his ear. 

A goddess indeed…
