Do you have any app or mobile game to suggest? QwQ I wanna try playing something new
OOF there's so many mobile games I'm listing so prepare yourself
BATTLE CATS is the shit. Tough levels at points but there is a semblance of progress to be had. They added a lot of events and extra shit so it might be overwhelming for new people. i have no idea tho I barely started playing it again.
I'm a lover of the solitare genres (klondike and spider) but ugh the ads. I really only like them for the virtual customization of the themes that desktop comps dont provide enough of and having something offline to play on the go. ive been getting better at the four suit spider games, tho- i can feel my brain learning. 😁
Bingo games are fun! I don't have any one in particular I like the best, tho. Been a while since I played them.
Tinker Island 1 has great progression and you have the opportunity to collect the paid currency constantly, building up your gem vault. I like the garden minigame more than the actual gameplay XD.
I like Marvel Puzzle Quest for the match-3 gameplay with the marvel aesthetic. I'd recc. to play this one casually because progression is nonexistent with AND without $.
On the topic of match games, Bejeweled is a classic. 😊 I loved the butterfly rescue one back in the day and poker version was fun too- the tension is just MWAH.
Grand Summoners is for some reason spending a lot of money in ads because I'm seeing it everywhere despite having it on the exact device I'm seeing the ads on??? I'm not saying it's a problem it's just odd, lol. Micromanaging gear and teams will implode your brain but there is some strategy to it, even if you try to auto everything. They have crossover events all the time, on top of progression being kinda slow but still possible, and I'm quite happy with unexpectedly pulling a Hatsune Miku and evolving her. 😊
I would recc. trying out Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links out for a test run to see if the grind is up your alley. Very generous with rarity tickets the last time I played it.
For another simple game, billiards are fun too, and easier to play digitally than in real life, lol. You will be playing against other humans all the time, tho.
Injustice 1 or 2 and Marvel Contest of Champions have their own pros and cons, but both are finger-input fighting/brawl games with IPs so it depends on asthetic and progression i guess? If I had to choose tho, I would say Injustice is more organized in its content than Champions if that makes any sense?
Best Fiends is a cute and neat lil' bubble draw and pop game that has some progression to it, but it's been a while since I played it. Surprising for me that I even like this one since the mascots are cartoony insects.
Color Puzzle is a gradient-building/color-matching puzzle game. I played it during my art class and it made me more aware of how colors react next to each other though it can hurt your eyes.
Visual novel story/chapter games are ones you need to curate yourself to figure out which one you'll want to sit through. Chapters has sexual/explicit stories but a beefy reward system compared to Choices from what I remember, plus community engagement/contests. This likely could have changed now- I haven't checked. Other apps have (slightly) animated characters/establishing shots and some are more customizable in the protagonist and reputation systems (romance or otherwise). They all blended together in my mind like a big soup of colors, but i will tell you that the paid currency choices are never worth it.
(Pixel) Color-by-number games are fun pastimes until they hurt your eyes and drain your device battery.
South Park Phone Destroyer was fun for a bit. Until it wasn't.
Dream Girlfriend is the best Ambition gacha/character simulation game they have, prove me wrong.
side note: have you ever played a mobile game that got deleted? one that was solely a play-to-win that was also fun in general and you were close to maxing out your characters? yeah, it's worse than the pain you feel when you discover your fave fic has been deleted from the internet😢

✨ glittery, beautiful badass.
PICK FIVE TROPES!
Tumblr media
🌙 The Pretty Guys Are Stronger.
An improbable situation where despite a group being filled with various chiseled athletes, sturdy looking beasts, weapon outfitted death machines, and heavily outfitted personnel, the prettiest, least physically imposing members turn out to be the strongest, most capable and toughest of the bunch. This is not merely cases where their build proves most effective for the job or where their lighter wear proves more practical but when more delicate looking human builds are themselves indicators of might.
✨ Hot-Blooded.
They are burningly passionate about everything that they do. They give their all in absolutely everything they do, regardless of the task. They do not know how to be half-hearted or lackadaisical about anything they care about. These characters are Hot-Blooded. Using the power of guts, determination, and badassery they throw themselves headfirst into the worst situations imaginable and come out on top through sheer force of will and often have a strong tendency to do impressive things.
🌙 Weirdness Magnet.
For some reason, the character is always standing at the corner of Strange Street and Bizarre Boulevard, in the town of Uncanny Valley. They run into situations or creatures that most people don't even believe in, much less have to deal with on a regular basis. Through no fault of their own, they constantly suffer through the effects of the paranormal and supernatural. Alternatively, the character may not think of the weirdness about them as particularly strange; after all, this sort of thing happens to them all the time.
✨ Seen It All.
A cat chasing a car? They've seen it. People playing card games for the fate of the world? They've seen it. They've explained the Noodle Incident twice. They even know what the Cow Tools are for. Yes, these characters have Seen It All. The way the trope's portrayed varies depending on the characters. They may either become The Stoic since they've seen everything they have, or they may simply be Deadpan Snarkers.
🌙 Height Angst.
Height has a lot to do with how someone interacts with the world. Since people base a lot of first impressions on appearance a height that contrasts with what someone wants to look can cause them to be angsty, which can be expressed in different ways. These characters are short, shorter than everyone else in the cast, they can't go on rollercoasters, are nearly a head shorter, and they are frequently mistaken for a child, that's how short they are. In extreme cases their shortness makes them unable to function in the world and causes them to frequently get accidentally kicked in crowds, unable to get to high places or other such things.
✨ TAGGED BY: @bleedinghearth omg ty this was so fun lgfjlgkd. ✨ TAGGING: @undrowns @shamsgoddess @maximuses @vendettacanons @oplitis @00110000exe @dxspereaux @emptyvictory @lovedefiant @bluebracelet @spaceraised @nirgama @ivakir @canonfoddcr @svmmercmance @sleazygoing + just give it a go... so many tropes... ull have a good time...

its real krazy how synchronicities happen . as i celebrate 23 years around da sun dis week, i was blessd 2 b given the opportunity to do the 23rd playlist of play it by ear. 23 is a really important birthday for me, since my cousin (rip 2 my bestfriend <3) passed away at this age. so celebrating to see dis age hits real different . as i celebrate my life and reflect on my 23 years of living, i wanted to just be present in the fact that this year has not been easy for a lot of us when it comes to life. i hold the hearts of many of us who are grieving, who are undergoing their own healing process, who are dealing with death (in any form) and transformations . that process is not easy b, n i jus wanted to make a playlist as an offering 2 support our collective processes in what it means to feel alive while holding the grieving and the healing in our hearts . each song has been pivotal in allowin me to tap into my own alive-ness,
as we expand n feel deep grief n deep heartbreak — we also allow ourselves to experience an even deeper love, deeper joy, and deeper happiness . here 4 u in dis process of expanding, growing, and transforming.
hope the offering serves yall in some way <3

Piece of Mine  - Rudy Kalma
WHERE: rudy hit me in the DM wit the “could i send u my demos?” haha. then, he ended up sending me his project ‘writing in the dark’ where this song was.
WHY: i first listened to his demo and fell in love with this song. when he released it, i remember walking through the city at night time really feeling the lyrics he was saying. especially the last lines when he was like: “send me sugar for the salt” there was this sense of grappling with what it means to deal with events, happening one after the other after the other, and what it means to hold hope in those moments when things feel like they’re crashing down. coming in an out of hope is a hard feeling and this song allowed me 2 not feel alone in that process.
Drown - Cilo
WHERE: cilo and i were in the studio together and he was like, “i be rappin rappin” and showed me this song. and i was like dam yea this fool b rappin rappin haha.
WHY: i reflect a lot about how my healing journey isnt jus my own n this song really helped me explore how it feels to hold the weight of healing from generations before me and after me. i kno that in my process, i *thought* what would be the most healing thing to do was to jus b like “u got it on ur own” and that helped to an extent… but this song allowed me to just accept the parts of me that needed help, that wanted to be saved, that felt like the process of healing was too much like i was drownin in the waters. n once i found that acceptance for that part of me, there was somethin in me that felt fully human, alive + breathing. n thats where i found the healin - not the “its good i got it”, but in the courage to accept that maybe i dont got it. n thats ok.
Who Do You Believe In - Tupac
WHERE: my babyfather is a huge tupac fan n we would listen to pac like so often.
WHY: the hook jus spoke to my heart. there’s somethin about where u put ur faith in, and how that plays such a critical role in what keeps us alive, blessed n still breathing. this song helped me understand what it means to have faith in the process and questioning where my beliefs are in all of this. there is something in dis song that feels extremely rooted . that same feeling of rooted-ness allowed me to explore my own foundation n if that foundation was built to weather any storm.
Self Love - Mavi
WHERE: i think someone showed dis to me in the studio!
WHY: i love the sample in this song so much and how vulnerable it feels. i also really love the last part of the song where the vibe switches up and he explores what it means to be free.
light signal - ambre
WHERE: i’ve been a huge ambre fan since she was workin wit kehlani. ‘pulp’ is one of my favorite albums out in the past couple years.
WHY: even tho the song is so simple, there was something about the production that felt really pure and soothing to me. also ambre’s voice is honestly hella soothing too.
Up To Me - Lil Wayne
WHERE: i grew up listening to this song cus i had older siblings. i revisited lil wayne’s ‘tha block is hot’ later on in college when i wanted to feel nostalgic n this was a song that still resonates with me in present time.
WHY: there was somethin so special about how wayne was talking to his dad, and then using the hook to talk to himself. i love the vulnerability in this track. it’s really special when someone gets to talk to someone who passed n then affirm themselves in their own grief .
Reality Check - Noname ft. Eryn Allen Kane & Akenya
WHERE: i loved acid rap back in high school, and i remember listening to “lost” and loving nonames feature. ever since, ive been a huge fan and fell in love with her first album ‘Telefone’.
WHY: every tough moment in my life where i felt like my power was taken from me, i would always listen to this song to remind me that my power was never rly taken away from me in the first place . dis song helped me come back home to myself and allowed me to access the power within myself. <3
As - Stevie Wonder
WHERE: my parents are die hard stevie wonder fans, and my dad would play this song on the piano every morning at 7am. he would sing it and my mom would play it in the car, on the speakers, etc. all the time.
WHY: this song makes me feel so much joy!!! it brings me back to my core of being able to cultivate and grow love, not only for ourselves but for all the generations before and after. as much as there is generational trauma, loss, and grief — there is also generational joy, happiness, love, and celebration. part of my healing was returning to my own genuine & authentic love and this song helped remind me of the love i was able to grow from when i was a kid up till now at my 23rd solar return.

We’re living in the digital age. Instagram is now TV, emojis constitute emotion, and our thoughts are limited to 140 (now 280) character tweets. Playing one person online and another IRL, against a backdrop of miscellaneous global chaos, it’s no surprise that we’re a lil overwhelmed. But is this fractured identity starting to manifest in our clothes? Judging by the amount of fashion brands creating pieces which look like two different items spliced abruptly together (or what we’re calling 50/50 fashion), then sure.
First appearing at Vetements (where most trends are born), Demna Gvasalia put out the now recognisable Antwerpen tee, spliced and restitched together to obscure the logo, way back in 2015. In fashion years, that may as well have been 1975 – but the deconstructed style was channeled in further hoodies and tees. As Demna dictated, others followed, with Marc Jacobs putting out a band tee version at his SS16 show. At Off-White, Virgil Abloh explored the idea for a few seasons, first splicing t-shirts at the back to create an uneven neckline, then for AW16, teaming up with Shane Gonzales to stitch together contrasting vintage tees. Central Saint Martins student Conner Ives got in on it too, reconstituting vintage t-shirts for a more sustainable take on the trend. Unsurprisingly, the high street eventually caught up, but the original idea had long moved on since then.
Back in the Antwerpen days, times were simpler. Now the identity crisis trend has evolved into looks that are split right down the middle – half of one look combined with half of another, in a completely different print or fabric. At Gosha Rubchinskiy’s agenda-setting SS18 show, this came in the form of jackets that were part denim, part schoolboy blazer, and – as part of his Burberry collab – a half navy, half beige trench. Spliced-together clothes officially had a new lease of life – since then, we’ve seen them at Prada, Balenciaga, and Maison Margiela. But why? We have a few theories.
THEY’RE PERFECT FOR THE MULTIHYPHENATE GENERATION
Who knows when it happened (we were too busy scrolling to notice) but collectively we’re more distractible than ever. We can’t commit to anything longer than a six-second Vine (RIP), or a Buzzfeed quiz telling you what kind of potato you are (scalloped FYI). In fact, we’re so scared of commitment that ‘ghosting’ has now been updated to ‘orbiting’ – a phrase used to describe people who disappear from your love life, but still hang out on the periphery, liking your pictures and appearing on your feed.
In the current ‘Renaissance’ period, we’re all a hybrid model-slash-DJ-slash-designer-slash-everything. So why not show that with our clothes too? If you feel like you’re best represented by clashing Baroque prints à la Burberry, or a more muted charcoal coat amped-up with a tartan print at Gucci, it’s up to you. Don’t limit yourself, get you a coat that can do both.
THEY REPRESENT THE FRACTURED NATURE OF THE WORLD
Brexit. Trump. Putin. It’s a huge understatement to say that politics are pretty fucked up on a global scale. While you might think that being a liberal-minded person puts you in the majority – see: US election and Brexit results – the reality is that the divide is a lot more evenly split than you’d think. Not that you need reminding, but the Brexit results were as close as 48.11 per cent Remain, and 51.89 per cent Leave.
It’s no wonder that we’re seeing this split manifest itself in fashion too. However we try to escape the opposition – be they Leavers, Republicans, or Save the 8th-ers – we all live on the same planet, trying to find a way forward. Sure, some of the halves complement each other better than others, but it’s the complete clashes that best represent the political struggle that we’re living in. And the struggle is real. It’s more than fair to say, this is the most unstable the world has felt in a while, and that’s following a double-dip recession. Will things get better? Will we remain in EU? Who knows! Uncertainty seems to be the only thing that remains certain at the moment.
THEY OFFER TWICE THE SELFIE OPPORTUNITIES
Okay, so technically you’re not getting two looks when you’re buying mashed-up fash, but in the IG age, that’s not going to stop anyone particularly enterprising from using it as an opportunity to get more likes on the ‘gram. Now, instead of being limited to one carefully curated, well-lit, slightly Facetuned image per look, you can get two – provided you get the right angle.
Take Prada’s reworked archive shirts that emerged at its AW18 show. From one side you can pose and show off SS10’s beach print, and the other, a throwback to the iconic SS11 bananas. LBR, we’re all misleading people on social media at least a little bit. So why not convince people you’re serving two looks instead of one? Forking out £615 for the ultimate hypebeast shoe, the Balenciaga Triple-S? Convince everyone you bought two pairs with its new hybrid version. Combine with more halved looks to provide even more photo ops. OK, maybe nobody would actually go that far but hey – anything is possible.
