fun fact! with the exception of tekken 6 and seemingly tekken 8, devil jin always has longer bangs than jin. (a detail that was even added in tekken 7 somehow!) why this is being omitted in tekken 8, and why it wasn't in tekken 6 either, is unknown.

i will say tho, if tek8 does back to the canon that devil is one entity, and dj was devil kaz's other half. i'm okay with changing my blog's canon to that. since it won't really mess with my portrayal much. (after all, dj wasn't much of a ""person"" to begin with - he was simply made by azazel as a punishment for mankind. him being a half of something won't matter much, because i can still go with the whole "gained an identity" and "identity issues" thing)
the thing why i currently don't take that as canon on this blog, and why dj is a separate entity from dk is because... it's just never been mentioned again - not since tek4 iirc. (it miiiiight have been mentioned in scenario campaign? i can't remember) and i just assume it's one of the many retcons of the series considering that kazumi had a devil, too. which yes, since she died - her devil could've went on to kazuya. but... considering that the hachijos were known to be ancient devils, and heihachi believing kaz probably wasn't human and never considering that devil is just one entity possessing somebody, and he even had lars to see if lars would have the gene... that doesn't sound like the games are saying devil's one entity anymore - to me, it sounds like everyone with the devil gene have their own devil. also, in 4 - kaz couldn't turn into a devil due to missing the other half. meanwhile ever since 5, kaz has no trouble at all turning into a devil.
so yeah, for now - i'm saying dj is completely different from dk / was never his other half, and jin was born with dj (so no pregnant jun fighting off devil - as funny as that image is LOL). but i'm just saying... if they DID make that canon again, it's one change i wouldn't mind doing for my blog.
