           Izuku never failed to surprise Eijiro, hadn’t from the moment they’d met. Never failed to make his heart skip a beat, and feel himself fall head over heels for the other all over again.

           Now was no different, with a single sentence making his world turn its axis, and guide him to look to his beloved with the most awed and reverent gaze.

          “Really?” Ah, but did he truly need to ask? No, he knew it to be true. Complete an utter honesty, regardless of this Izuku’s life and who he was exactly. Not that Eijiro would fret all that much about it. He’d understood and accepted it, accepted Izuku in his entirety. Accepted the man who came from a whole other world, who may have caused his self back then to worry plenty of what harboring him to entail and, sure, caused a bit of trouble for him, but now...well, he’d long since come to realize that, without a shadow of a doubt, it was the best decision he’d ever made.

         “The same goes for me...y’know that?” A hand reached out, to gently cup that beautiful face with all the tenderness in the world. “You have no idea how much I thank whatever deity’s out there that you showed up before me that day.” Even if the being Eijiro knew full well deserved every ounce of his devotion was Izuku, and Izuku alone- “You’ve become so important to be, I...” He managed a laugh, moving to press a kiss to the other’s forehead, nose, then a final one on his lips.

         “I can’t begin to imagine a world where we’d never met. And I could never bear having to live one without you.”
