Band Au (with @funplecs​ ) part 3, the hashira!! himejima is under the cut for undisclosed reasons

i also have a lot of notes, and theyre a bit more important than the notes for the other ones, so i’ll be writing them down also under the cut!! (things like shinobu and giyuu’s fake marriage and shit)

ok so:

- rengoku’s brother lives with him and Kyojuro has custody of him

- shinobu is 20 in this au, in canon she’s 18 but it didn't quite fit

- mitsuri in fact acts like she doesn't know how to play any instrument at all mostly to get people to “teach” them to her and hold her hands

- Genya and sanemi live together too, their family is alive and probably?? lives with them idk this is funplecs’s part but sanemi recently moved to live closer with the rest of the hashira and brought genya with him

- yea uzui’s wives have their own band

- so does shinobu’s sisters 

- muichiro has a lot of the same classes as Nezuko, which is why tanjirou knows him (since tanjirou likes to get up into nez’s business)

- sabito and makomo and the rest of urokodaki’s kids have their own band. giyuu is not in it for undisclosed reasons

- giyuu and shinobu ARE married. they are husband and wife. yes they are both gay. they said they’d get married for tax reasons if they were still single by 19 when they were in highschool and shinobu takes taxes extremely seriously

- shinobu wont commit tax fraud but will try her hardest to get as many breaks as possible

- because theyre not really married, giyuu and shinobu r allowed to flirt and stuff  except rengoku thinks theyre GENUINELY married and he gets very serious about it. he's like “haha hey giyuu” and shinobu is like “we’re MARRIED lol” and he's like “OH MY BAD IM SO SORRY” 

- none of the hashira are comfortable with advertising muichiro or turning him into a mascot since he’s still a kid and they don't want to fuck him up, so muichiro is like a back stage boy. he steals uzui’s phone and starts an instagram live in the recording studio. fans adore him

- the hashira are a generational band, so urokodaki and old rengoku used to play in it. zen’s gramps also used to play but he WILL NOT let his boys know this

- it’s also an experimental band! each album has a different feel and genre to it, all suited towards one specific member’s tastes, and then they’ll take turns running tours and directing the band. while it can be jarring that the punk album is right after the electronica album, they make it work! 

- shinobu finds out that inosuke is essentially homeless trying to avoid his mom and step dad so she winds up trying to adopt him. the shinobu vs douma battle is now a custody battle
