every day i discover a new horrible way my disabilities/defects might interact and it puts the fear of god into me (just found out that it is possible for the bladder to prolapse into the vagina and two possible causes are EDS (which I have) and chronic cough (which I am extremely prone to due to my shitty deformed lungs). gonna be worrying about this every time i get a cough (i.e all winter every winter) for the rest of my life now thanks x)

not me popping back on here with a post after months of semi-inactivity (uni is being a bitch) just to reiterate how much i love writing the pahkitew island cast.

aside from sammy and amy (obviously), literally everyone else can be shipped with one another and it'd make sense to some degree, like it takes skill to create a group of people so inherently shippable (platonically and/or romantically) and ofc the writers didn't know it they just shoved a bunch of random ppl together and dusted their hands off on it but fr tho 😭

actually sort of unbelievable how much Zexion haunts the narrative compared to the other Organization members in Castle Oblivion. Vexen also does, but like, he actually deserves to. It's his replica project that's a central plot device in both CoM and Days, him not being there to keep it on track causes many problems. but Zexion? it's. a lot, especially considering back in 2004 people on game forums were calling him the most useless organization member (no respect for strategists smh, it's aaaalways about powerscaling and combat ability to these people)

we start with Replica Riku going to fight Riku after realizing that even if he has "newfound power" (Zexion's) it's still not actually his. in the Days novel Axel brings up Repliku devouring Zexion like two other times when thinking about Xion's state of being. I'm not even counting this. novels don't count and it's not like Repliku uses any illusions or anything, it's just his raw power.

In regular canon Days, Axel makes explicit mention of him when talking to Saïx.

He also mentions Marluxia, but it's in the middle of their conversation, when talking about how Marluxia was a traitor after all. This, on the other hand, is like an important thing Axel almost forgot to mention.

He later brings up getting rid of Vexen and Zexion, but the first time is just Zexion. These two are true for both DS Days and HD Cutscene Days.

And then! Zexion gets a voiced cutscene in the middle of Days! The game that does not do voiced cutscenes except for when they want to do something really big!

And they couldn't just reuse things from Re:CoM either because the memory Riku's having was of a moment that used dialogue bubbles, they put in work for this.

I think?? The scene is supposed to showcase Xion absorbing thoughts from other people? It's really weird since it's the only time it happens to someone who isn't Roxas but you know what this means? Riku was thinking about it. 8 months later, Zexion's accusations are still burned into his mind. This is REAL NARRATIVE HAUNTING, BABEY and it KEEPS GOING

Before Zexion put the idea in his head, Riku didn't even consider that Sora might not accept him with the darkness in his heart. He had his big moment in CoM where he accepted himself, but it still scared him badly enough that he did... basically everything he did in kh2 instead of trying to find Sora and talk to him. Zexion's actions "lived" this long. I think it's 3/4 that Sora's memories of CO were erased and 1/4 that Marluxia simply did not have the presence in the Organization to leave a gaping void after his death but man, the final boss left barely a whisper in comparison to this.

And then finally there's this of course

done to keep his weapon a mystery but how weird do you think it must've felt for the characters to see it? did they wonder what happened? I sure wonder what happened

also I lied this somehow isn't the end. for whatever reason in Melody of Memory Zexion gets more spotlight than almost every other member of the original organization except xemnas and the sea salt trio

in conclusion i hate it here. I would also say Vexen deserves more respect for leaving the most obvious void in the group after his death except that someone wrote a full 358/2 Days au longfic about it so I really don't need to

Regressor Ventus, Vanitas, Sora, Roxas, & Xion Playdate Hcs

🍏 There’s so many different headspaces going on here-

💀 To re-establish my Ventus and Vanitas HCs: Ventus regresses from about 2-6, more toddler headspace, while Vanitas regresses form about a few months to about four, more baby/toddler headspace

🏖️ Sora regresses a bit bigger than all of them, more child regressor (like 4-8, but can go smaller

🛹 Wouldn’t it be so funny if I gave Ventus and Roxas the same headspace range? (You know, cause they look so similar? … I’m hilarious-) But I think Roxas regresses from about 3-4, more toddler than anything

🐈‍⬛ Xion’s tricky, because I can totally see baby regressor, but I can also see a big kid, so she has a large headspace range, think 1-9

��� It takes a long time for Vanitas to feel comfortable regressing around any of them, especially Sora

💀 ^ Not out of fear of Sora judging him (although that is a big fear of his), but he more hates sharing his headspace with others, Ventus is the only acception, and that’s only most of the time

🏖️ The same goes for Roxas! The only people that see him small are Xion, Axel/Lea, and maybe Siax/Isa!

🛹 He doesn’t want others, especially Vanitas, seeing him small!! Maybe Sora’s okay, but it’s all weird and uncomfortable trying to relax knowing there’s others around him, judging him, even if they’re not

🐈‍⬛ Xion is also super nervous about regressing in front of others, but she quickly latches onto Sora’s energy and flow

🍏 If Sora can start a dance party and run around without a care, maybe she can too! It’s a big weird at first, but if they’re all feeling small, then it shouldn’t be a big problem, right?

💀 Sora out here really playing group leader 💪

🏖️ Stopping Roxas and Vanitas from getting to each other’s throats, helping Xion with her sippy cups, helping Ventus spell out his name (it’s still spelt incorrect btw)

🛹 It’s hard work out here as the oldest 😓

🐈‍⬛ Vanitas and Xion have a great time together, both are more quieter regressors that don’t necessarily mind doing ‘smaller’ activities

🍏 Sitting on the couch while the other three go do Just Dance? Sounds awesome!? They can color together or watch a more ‘darker’ show! They have some similar interest in being baby bats (Goth girl Xion for the win)

💀 Vanitas and Roxas do eventually get along, more because they both realize that they both really like wrestling, and no one else is willing to do it with them (except maybe Repliku)

🏖️ Roxas helping them all balance on his skateboard? An amazingly bad idea!!

🛹 Sora tried it, and scraped his knee really bad :(

🐈‍⬛ The only one willing to try afterwards was Ventus, and he refused to let go of Roxas’s hand the entire time

🍏 Their headspaces might range a lot, but pillow forts are always agreed upon

💀 ^ This is the one thing Sora cannot help with, his forts are never stable, smh

🏖️ Another thing that can all agree upon is ice cream!! Treat it like a secret mission, where Sora and Ventus have to go be super spies to get it, before running back to the other world so everyone can enjoy their sweet treat

🛹 … TV shows are never agreed upon

🐈‍⬛ Sora’s more interested in doing activities! Dancing, or arts and crafts, or tag! Settling down for a show for nap time might be okay, but it’s not his favorite thing in the world to do, that would be impersonating Donald!

🍏 Ventus likes tv, but he also has many things he’d rather do instead, like climbing trees he can’t get down from!

💀 It’s normally Roxas vs Vanitas with the show choosing, and Roxas is always outnumbered

🏖️ Why watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (would they have this in Kingdom Hearts?) when Ruby Gloom is an option? 2v1, loser doesn’t win, Xion knows a good choice when she sees one

🛹 ^ Luckily, Roxas has a favoritism towards Iris, so it’s not the worst choice in the world, plus Xion likes it! So that must mean it’s not that bad

🐈‍⬛ Also cuddle pile nap time!!! Vanitas swears he doesn’t join it, but pics prove otherwise

Kairi and Riku DON'T HATE each other

I don't understand how some people think certain characters hate some of the others in their friend trio group.

Like Riku does NOT hate Kairi. They're friends, he cares about her. If he truly hates her he wouldn't have spent so much time trying to help and find her in KH1.

Riku was being bitter about Sora since Maleficent manipulated him to think he was trying to replace him, and he wanted his friends together to explore some worlds.

So he was trying to help her because she was his friend. He wanted to explore worlds with Sora and Kairi.

And at the end of the game when Riku closes one side of the door, he tells Sora to ake care of Kairi like if he hated her why would he say that.

Then in KH 2 when Saïx took her, Riku helped her. He was feeling very isolated and insecure but he still helped her. He gave her a keyblade to help defend herself and then they fought besides each other and protected the other's back.

Then there was a battle and Kairi was about to get hit but Riku used his body to protect Kairi so she wouldn't get hurt so then it was just Sora (you), Donald, and Goofy fighting that battle.

Like if he actually disliked and hated her he wouldn't of done any of those things.

Gonna have a part 2 about Axel and Xion cause some people think Axel hates or dislikes Xion too smh 🙄
