 What is ICEGATE

Indian Customs Electronic Commerce or Electronic Data Interchange (EC/EDI) Gateway (ICEGATE) is a government portal that provides e-filings facilities to trade and cargo carriers and other clients from the Customs Department. ICEGATE links 15 broad types of partners with Customs EDI through message exchanges that lead to faster Customs Clearance and facilitates EXIM Trade.

 What is ICEGATE Digital Signature

  Digital Signature Certificates are easy to be used on ICEGATE (Indian Customs EDI Gateway) portal. Indian Customs EDI Gateway (ICEGATE) helps the user to register their organizations on the Indian Customs EDI system website. All the individuals, whether they are any Importers/Exporters/CHAs/Airlines/Shipping Agents etc. or any trade partners (Banks, Custodians/FSSAI, etc.) or Government Agencies (DGFT/Ministry of Steel, etc.), connect ICEGATE for document filing, data sharing under Customs Business Process or for administrative, statistical, and analytical or political purpose.

  How to register with ICEGATE?

 Step 1 – Log in to the ICEGATE website and signup as a new user. Step 2 – Choose the category under which you would like to register. Step 3 – Add the required details as per the application form to complete the registration form. Step 4 – Upload the required documents in  PDF format, as suggested. Step 5 – Add your ICEGATE ID and password. Two different OTPs will be generated and sent to your registered mobile number and email ID. Enter OTPs and complete the registration. Step 6 – Verify the mentioned details and submit.

  Steps to register DSC on the ICEGATE portal

 Step 1:Open the ICEGATE portal and log in using your user ID and password.

Step 2:Click on 'My Profile'.

Step 3:Select 'Register DSC' from My Profile.

Step 4:Select provider list, certificate list and enter the password. Then press 'Register'.

Step 5:A success message will be displayed on the successful registration of the DSC on the ICEGATE portal.
