Ahhhh this request is so cute 🥺 I love escape rooms although I’m a big scaredy cat like Asahi. Also this turned out quite long, I hope you don’t mind!

Surprisingly, you and Kageyama haven’t been on an official date yet. Tobio’s schedule was packed with volleyball practices and matches. On top of that, he had to make sure he passes all his subjects. As failing even one subject would hold him back greatly. Lord knows he doesn’t want to repeat that make-up exam conflict again. Even the thought of experiencing Saeko’s driving and Tsukishima’s mean comments makes him shiver.

You remember the first time you saw Tobio.

Being the new girl wasn’t something you were looking forward too. Even the move from Tokyo to Miyagi didn’t sit with you well. You love the cityscapes of Tokyo, the bustling life in Japan’s busy capital. Miyagi seemed like a bore to you. Nature is fine you think, but you still weren’t a 100% okay with the shift to the mountains. Nonetheless you had no choice, as your family was sure of a better life in Miyagi.

You were placed in Class2-5, Yachi being the first friend you made. She convinced you to join the volleyball team as a 2nd manager. Seeing as you weren’t particularly planning on joining other clubs, you agreed to her request. After school, you and Yachi waited for the boys to finish their class. Tsukishima and Yamaguchi were the first members you met, besides Yachi. That’s when you saw two boys racing each other in the corridor.

Kageyama couldn’t stop the grin that kept coming up on his face. He felt like a proud boyfriend as you liked the date idea he suggested. that you only agreed to cause you didn’t want to see him sad

Ultimately, he told his plans to Hinata. As he was quite nervous actually. Hinata was star struck! Thinking how Kageyama’s idea was so cool in his eyes. Tanaka and Nishinoya overheard the conversation and didn’t waste a second to go over and tease Kageyama.

“It’s unfair! How can Kageyama get a girlfriend before us!!!”

Tsukishima pitied you. To him, Kageyama was way too dense to solve a simple riddle. How would he solve the puzzles in an escape room? He was only gonna be a nuisance to you. As you were waiting for Kageyama after practice, Tsukishima walked over to you and said a sly “Good luck with the dumbass by the way” before walking away laughing.

“What was that?” Tobio questioned after exiting the club room.

“Oh, don’t worry about it” You reassured

“Tobio, could you try putting that book on the fireplace?”

As soon as Tobio placed the book onto the fireplace, a secret staircase was revealed. You looked towards him, grinning to let him know he did a great job. Maybe going to an escape room with Tobio, wasn’t the best idea. Although Tobio seemed cold and levelheaded, he’s actually quite skittish.

Every time a sudden sound come out, Tobio is the first to react.

“yaHhhhH, what was that?!!?!!?!”

“Oo! This is the key to the chest! Good job Tobio” You turned to smile at him, the surprised look on his face not leaving yet.

You’ve never seen this side of him before, he’s always been brave. Especially in front of his teammates. Although now, here you are. Suffering because of Tobio, who’s smart in volleyball. But isn’t exactly the best at puzzles and riddles.

Kageyama walked towards the chest, key in hand. As he unlocked it, BOOM! A skeleton jumps out.

You stepped back, a small scream escaping your mouth. While Kageyama flinched, but didn’t make a sound.

“Wow, that was unexpected.” You laughed, trying to lighten up the mood. Thinking how this was actually the easiest escape room they offered.

Your boyfriend still hasn’t move. You tapped his shoulder. “Tobio?” That was when you realised he stopped breathing. His face was grey, and it looked like his soul had left his body.

“I hate this.” He grumbled. “This is the worst choice I’ve ever made.”

“No! It’s cute to see you so nervous and dorky!” You replied. Upon hearing your response, his cheeks flushed a red crimson.

After some time, you two finally managed to escape. To be fair, you did you all the hints possible. Even when you ran out of hints, Tobio looked into the security camera and begged the workers for help.

“Please I can’t do this. I’m too dumb. Please help my girlfriend at least!!” The workers ended up caving into his request. Thinking how cute it was, to see him ask for help to ease his girlfriend’s burden.

Upon escaping, near the front desk. There was a chest of props and signs you could use when the workers take your picture. You obviously picked the king’s crown and robe for Tobio. While you wore the queen’s crown. All the workers smiled at you before taking the picture.

Kageyama was still unsure about the picture.

Why would they need it? You laugh at your boyfriend, explaining to him that the photograph would be placed on the winner’s wall. Amongst previous successful escapees.

Before leaving, a worker passes you two copies of the photo. “It’s on the house, our treat”

“Let’s go have lunch, then I’ll walk you home. Deal?” Tobio asked, heart still racing from successfully completing the escape room.

“Sounds amazing.”

After lunch, Kageyama walked you back to your house. Standing in front of your door, he wraps his arms around you. Pulling you in for a hug, while placing a small kiss on top of your head.

“Thank you for today.” He says. “I guess you got to see a new side of me”

“I did, today was really fun. Thank you, Tobio. This is the best first date ever.” You smiled.

As soon as Kageyama got home, he began looking for a photo frame. You bring him so much joy, so having you face on his desk would only motivate him to do better. After digging around, he found an old photo frame and replaced the picture in it. He dusted it off, and placed it on his desk.

He took out his phone, and snapped a photo.

“Hey, look at this photo on my desk”
