As the little Zorua begins to try and get Rivor's attention, his head slowly shifts over to him and tilts off to the side.

He asked, making sure that Panto was not too restless. Otherwise, he'd have to do something about it.

Rivor didn't miss a beat on the kiss she came down to deliver. His claws tenderly cupped the Flygon's cheeks, holding the smooching embrace tightly for the long couple of seconds it deserved.

" Mmh ~ "

When he broke it, his eyes were gazing into Avel's own, lids half-way closed with a toothy grin accompanying it all.

" I love you, babe ~ "

This action came as an absolute surprise for Rivor. It seemed like the Denachu was exhausted... and maybe the Sandslash was merely seen as enough of a ray of protection for him to lay down.

Whichever the case, he soon found himself with a tired rodent laid out on his lap. What could he possibly do about it? Not much... except accept the state and maybe add a few pats to his head.

The strange kit Rivor and Vanessa had came bounding up to his dad excited to show off the new thing he could do. "Papa! Papa papa papa!" The small kit had figured out speaking during the night and had decided Rivor would be the first to hear it.

Seeing his kit, Rivor's face brightened up into a wide grin. This marked the first time he had heard his son speak... and he had to admit, it was touching to hear that those ended up being papa.

" Oh wow ! You got it right, lil' dude. Papa's here. "

With careful claws, he reached out to pick him up. This was a proud dad moment, one that called for a hug.

Cherry picks up a marker and draws an outline of the pattern of Valor Cavern on Rivor's arm. She figured it'd fitting for him to have the symbol she associates with Azelf, the being of Willpower, on him.

While he ultimately wasn't sure what the pattern meant to her, the Sandslash looked on as Cherry made the outline.

Once it was done, he reached his arm up and held the mark up for her to see.

“Shit! Sorry, I didn’t see you there… Are you okay?” (Rivor.)

The Sandslash found himself butting heads with the feline. While he maintained a low-profile for the time being, he was visibly frustrated by the sudden appearance of the female.

That said, he managed to keep his cool. Such was crucial in moments of thievery such as this. It wasn't the first time he had considered splitting the loot with someone else... but this time, he offered it upright.

" Grrh ... it's fine. Hey ... split fifty-fifty on this guy ? I know you're here cause you know he's rich as hell. Just like I am . "

Why else would she be sneaking around so sneakily like he was? He figured he would ask.

And Rivor starts to purr, returning the act with a smooch.

Joseph pokes his head out of the bushes and goes; "Boo!"

As a result, the Sandslash jolts into a defensive stance for a second...

" Ahh ! "

... before promptly calming down. He is usually very aware of his surroundings, but this time, Joseph got the jump on him.

" I mean- ah, Joseph. Good to see you. "

It wouldn't take more than this simple request, or demand rather, for Rivor to act. The only thing that stood in the way for the cat to get the kiss she was looking for was one smug, ego-driven comment from him.

" You want the trademarked Rivor smooch ? You got it, kitten ~ "

With that out of the way, he leaned in close to Neko, wrapping both claws around her white fur and locked lips with her. A kiss that was held for a long time, all to mark how much he had missed her.

While Rivir was in the cave and Vanessa was out the egg qould begin to shake a bit and than a crack formed in the shell.

With it only being him in the cave at the moment, the Sandslash was sitting lazily by the side of the egg. He was very protective by nature, but even he reacted rather mildly to the little shake. The past few days, the egg had rattled about at steady intervals.

But the crack on its surface got a strong reaction from him. His body jolted up from its seated position, both eyes widening in surprise.

" Holy- fuckin' shit ! "

At that point, he stared down at the egg. Was this about to happen? Whichever the case, he was keeping an unbroken gaze directly at it.

This is the thrill of the hunt. There is the rare and elusive Sandslash. It's time to pounce. Creep slowly and carefully for a surprise attack, he won't see what's coming... Mwahaha! >:) {Angel}

Even if he had seen it coming, there was no way he was giving that away. He saw out of the corner of his eye how his daughter creeped ever so closer to him, ready for the attack.

And then it came! He had been pounced, and to the credit of his fine acting chops, he played it accordingly.

" Ahhh ! Noo, you got me, arggh ! "

With a dramatic fall, he laid down on his quills, acting as though the force of her pounce had fully knocked him down.
