ok look i know none of us want to acknowledge it but

Haru while she was half-cat in the cat kingdom probably looked like one of the CGI hybrids from Cats (2019) and we’re all just going to have to live with that

she looked like this but with hair.  and clothes.

hey so i know it’s been a bit of a while since i’ve been on here.  i’m not 100% sure whether i’m coming back or not - i haven’t retrieved the data from my old hard drive so i’d need to remake all of my icons and regather screencaps - but i’m thinking of...tentatively being here?  i miss the TCR community and all the shenanigans that used to happen here

i also recently got Elder Scrolls Online and definitely am not inspired to do a Baron playthrough of that nope

INACTIVITY NOTICE!

From August 7th to August 13th I will be out of town!  We’re moving my brother back into his dorm, and driving halfway across the country to do it! My replies to RP will be sparing during this time - likely only at night when I have wifi and am able to pull out my laptop for them.

I’ll still be able to reply to IMs throughout the day, so long as there is data/wifi available. (considering we’ll be driving through a lot of cornfields, there might be quite a few hours where I’m simply unable to do so)

i only exist within the TCR fandom to throw out Asshole Baron AUs, AUs for fandoms so bogged down with lore usually only I and one other person are familiar with them, and seeds of chaos

also i gotta say.....i’m normally able to come up with TCR AUs for most everything but a Fallout universe???  man i’m drawing a blank here.  

it’s just such a huge genre shift.  most folks in Fallout are either like....cowboys or 1920s gangsters.  and I cannot, WILL NOT create an AU where Baron says things like “I ain’t a fink, you dig?” or “aw hell it’s them blasted geckos again. better get the ole varmint rifle.”

although a Hadestown AU would be very very similar to the Blight!Verse, there could be some changes I think....

Baron isn’t Hades, but he’s not as idealistic and impractical as Orpheus either.  Really, if he’s anyone in this AU, he’s Hermes.  Kinder than he is in the Blight!Verse, but still...resigned to his place.  The will to fight beaten out of him.

I don’t know who would be the Orpheus to Haru’s Eurydice (probably Machida), but Baron watches them.  He sees their springtime love and he hopes, he hopes that it survives the winter.  He watches as Machida grows caught up in his songs and leaves Haru to grow hungry and he wants to cuff the boy on the ear and scream at him that he’s losing her. 

And then she’s spirited away by Hades (Undoubtedly the Cat King in this AU), drawn in by promises of an easier life where she’ll never grow hungry.  Baron can only watch with a heavy heart.  And then Machida comes looking for her, and despite everything, despite how he fears this will end, he shows him the way to the Cat Kingdom.  Maybe he’ll make it, maybe they’ll make it.  Maybe...just this once...

But he knows.  Deep in his heart he knows.  Machida’s heart may be true but his head is so easily swayed, and the Cat King so easily places the doubts there.  He turns around...

Baron has to lead Haru back to the Cat Kingdom.  Back down to Hadestown.

He wants to hate Machida for condemning Haru, but he can’t.  He always knew it would end this way.

So I know I originally said for the Skyrim/Elder Scrolls AU that Muta would likely be an Orc or a Nord but after more thought...I think he'd be a khajiit like Baron. Just a different furstock.

(Quick lore note for those unfamiliar with the Khajiit: there's different types depending on which phase of the moons they're born under. You have Khajiit that look like Baron, Khajiit that look like Baron but are 10 feet tall, Khajiit that look like a giant lion that skipped leg day, Khajiit that look like straight up housecats, and Khajiit that look like they belong in an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical. And all of them can be in the same family.)

So the options for Muta I think are Giant Khajiit, skipped let day Khajiit, or....and I'm very partial to this one.....a Muta who's literally just a fat housecat like he is in the movie. He's just the same.
