something about when metroid games have definitively hopeful and happy endings*. return of samus MP2 and FUSION ESPECIALLY GOD FUCK im gripping you so tight

*most are portrayed as victorious in some way even if the planet blows up but like. the implications

#I gotta lock in so hard to finish a paper but I’m so stuck thinking about this man #ever think about how samus’ life is just loss after loss after loss. and how she very likely avoids forming attachments in the first place #and then comes fusion. and she finds one of those people she lost #and I just. idk I want to get into her head about it. like maybe I’m not just destined for detachment and loss #the fact that she’s portrayed as SO disillusioned/sick of it all in this game makes it hit especially hard I think #like idk. just that reminder that there’s hope and it’s not all for nothing #<probably the reason Adam clicks for me so well as a character tbh. like YAY ^.^ THE FRIEND ^.^#same with echoes. her going back to Aether at some point and seeing that the Luminoth have been able to rebuild….explodes badly #AUGH. had to get that out. okay back to my paper wish me luck guys
