hey guys, i’m sorry i haven’t been around... !! i’m afraid that’s not gonna change much, thought for right now... my jonathan muse hasn’t been cooperating with me, neither are my two OCs. so i’m marking this blog down as low activity from now on. 

once again, guys, i’m really sorry but i musing is dead rn && it feels like i am, too. i hope you understand !!

an assortment of more headcanons !!

the fight with steve wasn’t something he wanted to go through with- evidently so by the way he kept trying to get nancy out of there. but as soon as he was separated from steve && began that ride to the police department, he regretted it. during the car ride, he started frowning in his emotions, the waters reaching heights that day. of course, he wouldn’t go on talk about these issues. but he was fighting an anxiety/panic attack while in the car, trying not to let it get to him. jonathan’s glad that he’s able to withhold it all by the time they get to the station. after that, even when they get on civil terms after the demogorgan, it still invades his thoughts from time to time. in a basic rundown- the fight with steve fucks him up && makes him see a similarity between him &&  lonnie. he’s starting to think he’s becoming his father. 

on a lighter && fluffier note, his favorite food is a simple food- regular pancakes with a great helping of strawberries, with the smallest amounts of syrup && whipped cream on the side. he’d prefer to have the natural sweetness of the strawberries than the artificial sweetness of the syrup. syrup’s a bit too sweet to him, not something he’d say he’d like in a large amount. it’s been a favorite of his since joyce made them for the first time for his birthday, per his request. hell, when it comes to food in general, jonathan’s a pretty simple man. 

jonathan’s favorite genre of movie tends to be b-rated horror movies that are poorly made with a far fetched plotline. it gives him the amusement of a comedy but the discount version of gore. if you’re watching them with him, he’ll probably poke fun at them && crack jokes. he also likes horror movies in general when they’re done right. it’s a mixture of these two that brings him to having an evil dead poster in his room- he feels like that, despite being marked as an actual horror movie, how extra the horror scenes are. 

on that note, could jonathan be considered a cinematic nerd?? he probably is on a certain level, but he wouldn’t consider himself a nerd or a fanatic. there’s probably loads of movies considered revolutionary classics that jonathan wouldn’t know about. this mostly has to do with their tight budget with things, being unable to go to the movies during new releases && renting movies isn’t something the byers tend to do a lot. but if jonathan has some extra money that he doesn’t need to use right away, he might be at the movies or renting a movie to watch. 

since he loves music, if he’d be interested in learning to play an instrument or saving up for one. jonathan, for me, would’ve loved to get into playing guitar. lessons weren’t something they could pay for, though, especially when lonnie left. there was also lonnie himself && his shitty belief-based parenting that stopped him from talking about it. but if he was given the opportunity then he’d definitely love to learn how to play the guitar, both electric && acoustic. if he managed to do that, then he’d definitely be saving up money to get a guitar. his first one would probably be an acoustic since he’d need more for the electric. but he’d probably be offering his artistic photography skills in return for money. 

speaking of artistic skills, i don’t believe photography is all that jonathan could do. i believe he can definitely draw && probably even sculpt as well, art courses being electives he always took in middle && high school when it’s not photography. however, he’d prefer photography since there’s something so unique about simply observing before capturing that beauty. there’s also the technological aspect of cameras, which seem to be fascinating to him. he probably drew with will a lot when they were younger so they could distract themselves from the tension in the household. he also might’ve been worried on what lonnie would say when he found out will would most likely take the artistic route like jonathan. 

jonathan hates calling lonnie his dad, or father. when he’s alone or writing, he refers to lonnie by his name. but if he’s with others, he’ll refer to him as dad since i picture that even if people knew lonnie was a piece of shit human, that they still believe in respecting parents by calling them mom or dad. 

i remember that in season 3, jonathan seemed to have a good deal of knowledge about vehicles && what it took to fix them. perhaps it’s on a more basic level, but i picture that because of lonnie, jonathan at least knows how to fix his own car without needing to give the extra expenses for someone else to fix it. he seems to know his way around cars. this, as well as the artist headcanon, leads me to believe that he’s not objected to being more hands on or getting his hands dirty.
