DESCRIPTION

your muse would’ve been terry’s long-term partner of ten years whom they dated, on and off, from 2012–2022. they met terry through a online forum about birding/EDCs/architecture bc your muse shared the interest, was searching for gift ideas, even had ongoing online beef with terry, etc. the long and short of it is that they met up at some point, only to find that terry was not in fact an elderly hermit in the woods (as their entire online persona suggests lmao), but a 40-year-old architect & a single mom (: and they got together not long after that. 

their occupation is quite flexible, but i imagine that this muse travels extensively due to the mobility of their work and whose profession involves a high level of risk. one route that could be taken is that they are an extreme sports athlete of some kind (solo climber, ski mountaineer, deep diver, etc). another is that they work in a certain high-risk trade (construction worker, commercial/cave diver, tower technician, machine operator, a field researcher, etc. note: just no law enforcement or military professions) with whom they might have even brushed paths as an architect. whichever the case, your muse would’ve led a much riskier life than terry does and have a bit of a wild/passionate/reckless energy. 

terry, for their part, fell hard—and fast. dynamic-wise, i’m envisioning them as two intense people but whose energy manifests in diametrically opposed directions. that might’ve been what attracted them to each other in the first place, but building a relationship out of it in a long-term might’ve been difficult. ultimately, their relationship could not survive the tests of time, distance, and their respective anxieties at loving someone who saw the world differently than the other did. they broke up for good in 2022, the reasons of which would be UTP but i do imagine that it went badly. 

fast forward to may 2024, terry moved to blue harbor to teach architecture, to be closer to micah (their son), and to repair their relationship with micah’s father. both are in-game and can be potential connections for your muse as well. i imagine that terry’s made some attempts to reach out over the past year to no avail, and the motivations of your muse’s radio silence can be UTP. 

their backstory, current occupation, and reasons for being in blue harbor—whether it’s for recovery, hiatus, retirement, family, terry—are UTP. despite everything, terry considers your muse as the love of their life, a fact that they may not reciprocate (and might even be fun to explore for the angst of it all!!!). i’m very interested in exploring how this next chapter of their relationship could go in whatever form that may take <3
