I’ve been playing around with a lot of different Good Omens AU Ideas, but still the one I am most invested in is the Adventure Time AU with Aziraphale as Bubblegum and Crowley as Marceline because… well, it’s just a Perfect Combo Lol
And, actually, I think Good Omens Season 3 is going to be a Vital Reference Point for characterizing that AU.
First and foremost because this is the Season that’s gonna focus on and resolve the Break-Up arc. Peebles and Marceline started the show in the middle of their own hundreds-of-years Break-Up Arc and then gradually reconciled through the course of the narrative. So if any GO Season is going to have good references to how Crowley and Aziraphale would act in an emotional situation similar to, for example, ‘What Was Missing’ - It's going to be Season 3.
And the other thing to consider is, well, one of the big ways that Princess Bubblegum and the Principality Aziraphale differ is their positions of power. Princess Bubblegum is the goddam god-empress and creator of the Candy Kingdom. While Peebs often feels beholden and constrained by her responsibilities to her people or ideals - these are demands that she has placed on herself, not put upon her by someone higher-ranking than her. In fact, Princess Bubblegum rarely if ever gets to interact with anyone she genuinely acknowledges as higher-ranking than her.
And on the other hand, Aziraphale… is very much not that. He’s Angelic Middle Management. While he also struggles with his own self-inflicted standards and ideals and responsibility… He also has ‘higher-ups’ (quite literally, in fact), and a lot of his character arc (especially in S1) is about struggling with the concepts of obedience and loyalty and trust toward these superiors. Even after S1, this element of Deference remains a huge part of Aziraphale’s character.
So, like, I think it’s a pretty safe bet that “Supreme Archangel Aziraphale” is going to be more of a figurehead than anything else - this element of Aziraphale struggling with Listening to His Superiors isn’t going to disappear anytime soon but… Figurehead or not, still beholden to the Metatron or not... this is still probably going to be the best view we’re going to get of how Aziraphale acts in a serious position of power… or at least what he thinks is an actual serious position of power. You know, how he'll try to run Heaven, how he'll act to his subordinates... This still feels like an important reference to how to write him as the Candy God Emperor.
And... that's just kinda an amusing thing to think about... between the Break Up and Aziraphale taking on a position of leadership… Good Omens Season 3 is really going to be the Bubbline Arc Season, huh?

--- “Alright,” he holds Shuuhei’s hands, walking backwards to guide him along to his bedroom. “this may not have occurred to you, but... It has been a full two years since we got together. I’m of the sentimental sort.” He smiles at this. This should be common knowledge to Shuuhei by now. “And despite the open status of our relationship, I couldn’t let this pass by without a celebration.”
Tumblr media
He pushes the door towards his bedroom open and pulls Shuuhei inside. “And of course what is a celebration without a gift~” He’s dropped the idea before. And he’s spoken with Shinji about it a number of times. He’d been more than up for it, and even more convenient.. He already knew what Shuuhei liked. So he’s asked him to wait in the bedroom for them { in whatever state of undress he saw fit }. Their own little private party.
In true Rose-fashion, the room is decked out. Lighting low, some scented candles, rose-petals strewn about. Rose feels very satisfied with the result. He takes Shuuhei’s face in hands and kisses him, perhaps a few beats too long to be doing in company, but.. Well.. With the purpose of this get-together what It is.. Social rules are already being broken plenty.
      “Happy anniversary~”

Hi I’m just getting into Peter Gabriel can you recommend some of his stuff to me? I don’t know where to start
Oh goodness first of all I’m flattered that you decided to come to me so thank you! I will say that I haven’t listened to everything by Gabriel yet so I’m just going off of what I know and there’s much more beyond that.
Peter Gabriel is a really diverse artist so if you’re looking for only one genre out of his work, fjsdf good luck
I’m gonna mention @petegabriel here since she knows more about him than I do and she can probably give you better recommendations including the stuff I don’t know!
Uhh to begin I’ll start you off with some essential Peebs (you can skip these if you want if you’re already familiar with them):
- Sledgehammer- Solsbury Hill- Shock the Monkey- Games Without Frontiers- Red Rain- Big Time(edit): - In Your Eyes
Here’s some other good tunes:- Moribund the Burgermeister (from his first album which to me can be a bit all over the place, features some goofy voices courtesy of The Man himself)- Intruder (kinda freaky but it’s still good, drums from Mister Phil Collins are always a plus)- I Have the Touch (Peter Gabriel is Touch Starved and He Wants You To Know About It)- White Shadow- On the Air (probably the most punk he’s ever gotten)- Here Comes the Flood (dramatic but. very good I’ve cried to this before I love him so much)- Don’t Give Up (pretty calm but sad. duet with Kate Bush I’ve cried to this before I love them so much)- No Self Control - The Rhythm of the Heat (kinda approaching the style of So, so if you liked So you’ll like this alSo)- Animal Magic (fun bop… I don’t listen to this album much djfidsjkf)- Exposure (anyone who knows me and PG knows that there was no way I wasn’t gonna mention this. Not many lyrics but it’s very groovy)- Modern Love
Again this is only the part of Gabriel’s discography that I know
Please proceed with caution. Peter Gabriel is an actual angel and he will ruin your life (smiling his lovely smile as he does it).
