my favourite thing about elphelt's new design is that the spikes were once literal shackles around her neck during the events of XRD Revelator 2 (being a mere puppet to her so called 'mother'), and now she wears them like any normal spiked cuff or choker and decides to incorporate them as accessories into her wardrobe as she takes the path of a rockstar. She is reclaiming her own individuality, and i think that is neat/really poetic.
