{ OOC / HC } I think this song is important to Valentino's character, especially in relationships (and even more so with his relationship with Angel Dust). He doesn't really value love -- or at least romantic love -- and can't really feel it.

So he very much fits into the aromantic spectrum.

However, when he's with someone sexually -- especially with someone who's fragile and can be manipulated with the idea of love -- he has to problem faking it to keep them close to him. He wants to keep people under his thumb, preventing them from leaving. It's not that he has abandonment issues, but he finds the idea that anyone could leave him insulting.

If anything, his value is more towards sexual relationships. He uses it as a weapon, a manipulation tactic. If he can make you feel good, imagine what else he can do for you. It's his way of reminding the person that they could be something more -- without actually putting real feelings into place.
