daniel can’t help the laugh at john’s observation,  the genuine amazement in his voice.   they’ve come a long way from daniel introducing him to facebook in a shitty bar near south seas apartments,  complaining about ali’s now ex-husband,  but his boyfriend is still learning new things every day.   (  fiancé,  he thinks,  gaze catching on the silver band when he looks over to where john sits.   daniel should have his own within the week.  )   ' what’d you find now? '   he doubts it’s anything that crazy,  especially given how old john’s laptop is.   still,  daniel’s curious.   the screen is pushed back,  and he leans against john’s chair when he gets close enough,  reading over his shoulder.   ' oh,  ebay’s been around for ages.  since 1995,  maybe? '   and goddamn if that doesn’t make him feel a little old  —  they were 27 and 26 back then.   ' it’s like auctions,  but online.   there are other websites for that,  too,  but this is the biggest one.
