While Solas may not have much need for a horse, Kekipi has procured him a magnificent Friesian stallion as a gift.

he had some food in his pocket. he raised his hand for the Friesian to eat out of it. there was warmth in lavender eyes, such a magnificent beauty. but there was also sadness because though he admires the gift, he cannot keep the stallion. it deserves to roam free in these lands and not be tied to an owner. solas refused to keep any creature. but he nods his head, a sign of appreciation, he did not want to offend by refusing the gift. “  thank you, da'fen. ” since it was considered rude to do so. “  he'd have to choose if he wishes to stay, i cannot make that choice for him. ”

why is it always so damn cold? she's made him a scarf with a wolf design across it. ( totally, absolutely, coincidentally, she's also made herself one with deer. )

it was unexpected but welcomed. solas takes the scarf from tara, purple eyes look at the wolf design and straight to the one with the deer, the corner of his lips pulled into a smile. “  thank you. ” and he wraps the scarf around his neck, likes the feel of it, the warmth it brings. he could not help but comment on hers, “  the deer is a interesting choice. ”

gifts him a small carved wolf.

solas with a keen interest inspected the carved wolf, feeling it in his hands. the corner of his mouth twitched - a subtle smile graced his lips. taking the gift he places it on his desk, and stands back to admire it. placing both hands behind his back, he started thinking on what to get the little veil jumper. an ancient tome on elven magic? no. uninspiring. it needed to be intimate, personal. . . a white fennec statue. she reminds him of one, playful and curious, quick and clever. it was decided. after solas carved the fox , he placed it on a table in raena's room, with a note that reads: annon allen, raena. sul ina'lan'ehn lanun. and signed in cursive - solas

meant to send this earlier, but better late than never! but to the point: others have said this, but they're absolutely right in that solas' voice can be heard in your writing! he's always been such an interesting, complicated character, and your interpretation of him is, in my opinion, a wonderful addition and so, very fitting!

aah ! what the ?? i'm shocked. thank you so much !! i'm happy that you're enjoying my portrayal. and sweet for the kind words. i wrote solas like years ago but always even back then felt i would not be able to do him justice. he is a very complex and interesting character to explore. i'd say one of the most hardest, on par with raphael since they are both incredibly fluid and multifaceted, there's a lot of parts to kind of delve into. but ! this means a lot. knowing that someone likes my solas. again THANK YOU ! 💗✨

your solas is so *chef's kiss*. i can hear his voice in your writing, and you just get him so well down to the details. it's an amazing feat with a character this complex, but you really do him justice
