it will forever amuse me that kat has become the nickname everyone uses for her (even i do because of that) even though she personally dislikes it. but also she doesn't like most people using her preferred nickname either because she views it as personal. she just wants to be called katherine.

all i can say is...

if so kissable looking, why isn't she being kissed?

something that i think about with katherine is the contrast in her verses of her being very confined in some ways in some and in others, she's very free indeed.

i know i've played on that theme so much in her original verse, but i have to say one i hope i'll be able to is in her mythos verse. she's bound to her vows, her goddess, to a myriad of things merely due to who she is, not anything that she has become. to some extent, i know she doesn't chafe against it but thats mostly because it hasn't yet presented a scenario in which it does hold her back, beyond a few small things she's willing to sacrifice.

currently reading : just finished anzac girls by peter rees! so good. it's non-fiction but it made me laugh a little and cry a lot. but also listening to the force awakens novel.

currently watching : the new look and masters of the air. rewatching the man in the high castle... and actually looking into warhammer 40K lore again on youtube too. XD thanks, alistair, for reminding me of its existance.

currently working on : finding a place to stay for another paid internship back east and two 18th century shirts.

hey all, as you can see... kinda back here.  i don’t want to abandon kat cause she’ll always be my favorite muse, my first no less, but i dropped off the map again.  i’m just trying to ease my way back on her because frankly, i had too far much in common with her for me to write her for a bit.

i know several of you know this already because you follow my other blogs, but my dad passed away in january, and with that, the few similarities i have with katherine became too much.  her original storyline included losing her father, though far earlier than i did, and when you toss in the other aspects we share, i couldn’t.

but now, i’m trying to bring some life back to her again.  i missed y’all and i missed her, so here’s to hoping i can be a bit more on top of things.

An AU Idea For Our Muses: so.... i have a soft spot for old west aus, and i saw you have oneeeeeeee.  i don’t know what it entails for richard but whatever it is.... kat is a cattle rancher’s daughter, not a huge one, but large enough.  there’s all sorts of possible adventures and conflicts.

What I Think About The Mun:  christine is so kind and wonderful.  we rarely plot, but all my ooc interactions with her have been lovely.  if i ever post something about my chronic illnesses flaring up or being in extra pain or just plain down, i can almost depend on her being in the replies telling me to get rest and feel better soon.

Overall Opinion:  a really amazing take on a canon muse with limitless possibilities. plus the muse is as kind as they get.

this weekend i met a guy whose grandma was an us army nurse who joined up the day after pearl harbor and served in australia and new caledonia.  i fully admit i cried listening to some of his stories.  his grandma was SO COOL.

this, this is why i do what i do.

i’ve finally got katherine’s playlist organized how i want and if there’s just one line from those songs i’d have to pick to describe her, it’s: “when i look into the face of my enemy, i see my brother.”

not me over here thinking about how in basically all of katherine's medieval/renaissance verses or ones from settings inspired by those times, she's out there carving a place in the same ways that the women then did. she's often working alongside her father: she keeps the books, helps run a business, travels even. she's educated and excellent at her job... it isn't a journalist position, but she does write letters fairly often to family and friends about what is happening in the world around her, as many did when possible. she's an enterprising young woman connected to the world around her, and it brings me such joy.

Why Did I Follow Them?:  it was sooooo long ago at this point, i’m not 100% sure, but probably because i liked her writing!

Do I Ship Our Muses?:  as i’ve said before and i’ll say again, i absolutely don’t say never with this sort of thing, especially as we haven’t plotted or written yet with them.  i will say, considering their very... at times, usually really... contrasting personalities and belief systems, it would be intriguing to figure out how something like that would work, but it probably wouldn’t. XD

What I Think About The Mun:  alistair is one of those muns who i feel absolutely comfortable talking with, whether it is about life things or random plot ideas.  also, not many people in the rpc would encourage you to try writing the canon muse only they write, sooooooo.... a real treasure.

Overall Opinion:  ahem, i am SO HAPPY he has a multi now with lots of characters because first of all, they’re all so perfect, and second, his writing is amazing.  and a lovely mun, so what is there not to like!
