and perhaps there was no better place to take it all in than where the two men stood , gazing north atop the wall , the icy bite of the wind nipping at any exposed skin. jon had long since grown accustomed to the frosty conditions – just how the southern men in stannis' camp were faring , he had little time to enquire. still , the new lord commander of the night's watch had taken the time to escort more esteemed of those up to the top of the wall to gaze out upon the vast region of ice beyond. the turtle of estermont , the crow of morrigen , the spirals of massey ( and oh how he wished robb were here to witness him recall such knowledge from their boyhood ) wandered about. but away from the core group , closer to jon himself , stood the boy man who spoke first. a silver seahorse signalled @kipagircs to be a velaryon... but his first name was lost on jon.
“ there is often little time to take a moment to look about ” voice gruff , northern twang choking words in an attempt to be poetic enough. “ 'nd sometimes to look out here too long , its too much to even take in ... ”
