and here is the brother that the storks forgot to deliver to lua. despite being very close in age—a mere three day gap—their relationship resembles one of an older brother and his younger sister. which is kinda ironic to think about, given how lua is the older one of the pair, but everyone tends to forget that when they see clips of seonghwa doting over her, only to playfully bat the other members away when they try to get close to her. unless it's another idol, then he'll settle with pouting with woosan until their precious moon is "returned" to them.

KIM HONGJOONG ⋆ A-JOONG

did you really think this would be another sibling type relationship? jokes on you because this is one where the role of mother gets tossed between them. sometimes it's hongjoong who's adding a hearty portion of food onto her plate to make sure she's full and satisfied, regardless of what the haters may see. other times it's lua scolding the leader for staying up too late in his studio before praising him for making another track that deserves to be called song of the year. most of the time, it's just them being wanting the best for each other.

puppy meets kitten. the end . . . not— lua admits that yunho was one of the two members that truly intimidated her. at first, she used to be cautious around him but after some events (that author may or may not disclose in the future) occurred, their relationship shifted for the better. nowadays, lua is more open to the warm affection that the male glomps her in, and yunho is . . . still yunho. to be fair, he does become even more energetic when lua joins him in the chaos. hm, i wonder why?

don't put them in the same team, part one. everyone knows that yeosang is the type to sprinkle a teaspoon of sugar on his chosen victim member before washing him down with cups of salt. everyone in the group has experienced it— no wait, lua hasn't! not that that's surprising, i mean, why would you do that to your partner? yuppers, the moment someone gives these two the spotlight, you can bet the other members are fleeing for their lives. not that it'll help them but they do them i guess.

CHOI SAN ⋆ YUSAN

greetings to the sus ship! out of all the members, lua has to say that she's closest to san. perhaps it's because he was the first person she befriended after entering kq, and that's right, but there's more to it than that. throughout her journey, he is there to make sure she is comfortable. he's always the first to volunteer to do anything for her, including staying behind with her when she wants to do extra practice. he would call himself her honorary brother but hwa’s got that position so he’ll settle with platonic soulmate.

SONG MINGI ⋆ AUMIN

fun fact: mingi was the one who was afraid of lua. as in, he actually used anything and everything to hide himself from her peripheral view. similar to her relationships with everyone else in the group, spending time as teammates culminated in the two being good friends. now it's no longer shocking to see them cuddle while sleeping in the waiting room or in the dorms. yes, lua knows she has her own bed. no, she will not let go of her hugging pillow named mingi.

JUNG WOOYOUNG ⋆ WOOYUE

wooyue? more like seonghwa's worst nightmare. i kid you not, the moment these two are within a close distance, chills are running all over seonghwa. it's not that them hanging out is a bad thing— no, it is. it's bizarre how lua went from being intimidated by the younger male, to wreaking plenty of havoc with him. we can only guess that's wooyoung's power: influence. (lies, yeosang had to do some intervening so the younger male would stop sulking.)

CHOI JONGHO ⋆ JONGHUA

don't put them in the same team, part two. as the bodyguards of ateez, their physical strength can be very intimidating. the other members prefer to not going against them during games like arm wrestling— you know, for the sake of their health. these two don't need a personal trainer for they rely on each other to do two simple things: point out what must be improved, and hype each other up. plus, the service is free so their wallets are thanking them for that.

can we say number sign bestie goals? uh huh, we can—cause that's what these two are. inka is the sun to lua's moon, she's one of the few who stuck by her even though the latter could be a little standoffish during the initial meetings. don't tell the boys but lua responds quicker to inka's messages than she does in the teezers' group chat. from enduring years of training to burning the stage with their respective members like the queens they are, how can you not admire them?

SUNMI !

and the award of most successful fan goes to.. zhang yuehua! the admiration lua has for the older woman is so obvious, the room ends up stinking with jealousy whenever the members hear her loud fangirling. although it doesn't seem possible, lua gets even shier when she's around sunmi, especially when her elder pinches her soft, squishy cheeks. they've been friends for almost ten years? yeah no, lua is still going to melt in a puddle if sunmi calls her bambi one more time.

CHIARA OF HOURGLASS !

initially, she thought the senior idol hated her because of how stiff she looked whenever they greeted each other. but after getting the chance to finally hang out one on one, the younger girl eventually confessed that she was intimidated by lua, especially by her visuals and talent, and didn’t wanna do anything embarrassing. almost three years later, chiara still acts like she’s the junior but hey, at least she’s warmed up to her.. kinda-

VIVI OF LOONA !

an accidental meeting blossoming into a beautiful friendship; the formula to most of lua's friendships. maybe they're not very showy about the things they do together, but the two females really do care about each other and frequently communicate through social media. if they're ever caught together, it would usually be at a restaurant since they love taste testing cuisines, especially dishes that remind them of their respective hometowns.

YUQI & SHUHUA OF (G)I-DLE !

look, lua loves both of her kids, she'd have to be very drunk to pick her favorite. even though they're her seniors, they still see her as their role model because of her caring and persevering attitude that she uses to get through the industry. and maybe they also love her a lot because she gives not only them but their whole group plenty of treats whenever they have an achievement to celebrate. the price? nothing. she just wants to reward them for being amazing. NEW OF THE BOYZ !

let's admit it, kingdom was less of a competition and more of an excuse for idols to hang out with their friends or develop such relationships. thanks to the show, lua was able to get a chef for free—kidding, she had to pay him by being his friend. not that she regrets accepting his condition because whenever she's in a daydreaming mood, chanhee's there to accompany her and add in his own thoughts.

HWANWOONG OF ONEUS !

until now, lua's still trying to convince hongjoong to let her give wooyoung to oneus in exchange for hwanwoong. (she'll get there, she swears.) whenever they hang out, hwanwoong's usually helping her improve her dancing. of course, she makes sure to mention him during dedications regarding her performance, unintentionally fueling the dating rumors.

LESSON LEARNED !

author believes that lua's courage to cheer louder for her friends than for her teammates is very funny to watch. oh, and companies better take notes from this heroine 'cause she promotes their artists better than they do.
