WHAT   THEY   SMELL   LIKE  .      that smell when you first walk into a beauty salon and it smells like expensive hair product ,  but with subtle floral undertones from the perfume she wears and ,  if your muse has an enhanced sense of smell she might smell a bit like blood .

HOW   THEY   SLEEP  .      curled around something as small as she can make herself ,  whether it’s a pillow or someone else ,  she likes to be tucked into something secure .  she also sleeps with at least 1-2 blankets ,  enough to get a little lost in .

HOW   MUCH   TIME   THEY   SPEND   EVERY   MORNING   GETTING   READY  .     at least 45 minutes to an hour ,  she uses appearance as a protective instinct and a bit of armor ,  so the more she needs it the more time she’ll spend making sure her makeup and hair look pristine .  on days when she just rolls out of bed and is bare faced / frizzy hair ,  it means she’s either very comfortable around you ,  or very frazzled and you should worry a bit .

inhale — imagine being impregnated against your will to carry the babies of the guy that tortured you and murdered your dad and not really being able to say no bc those babies are basically the only thing keeping him from unaliving and you don’t want that on your conscience so you agree to have the babies and you’ll get back to your regular life after they’re born and healthy but then they almost kill you during child birth and the love of your life you’d do anything for basically ghosts you so you decide to stay with the kid and then agree to marry the guy who tortured you / killed your dad and you make a little life for yourself but you’re so empty and sad inside that you make up shitty excuses just so you can be alone to cry and your fiancée ( who previously tortured you and killed your dad ) knows this but never says anything and then your ex comes back but shit hits the fan and a whole bunch of stuff happens and your kids get taken and almost die and your ( now ex fiancée who killed your dad ) basically tells you it’s your fault and he should never have let you stay near the kids and tells you they’re not your kids they’re his and you somehow manage to forgive him for that but then the only way to save your kids is the love of your life who you also forgave for breaking your heart sacrifices himself to the devil and you have to lose his immortality to save your kids but it’s ok because you’re gonna get married but then your wedding is all faked to draw out his crazy vindictive ex and then on your wedding night your now husband sacrifices himself to save his brother who formerly abused and assaulted you but who you have still somehow forgiven and then years and years and years later you get written out of the only bullshit happy ending that you were given — exhale.

thinking about how the only way we ever really see caroline make friends is by just like, deciding that someone is going to be her friend and then treating them like her friend until she wears them down enough that they become her friend --- and also how the majority of her love interests were people that she ( on some level, at some point ) kinda had to convince to choose her, and how even her own parents she had to convince that she was still worth their love --- and how it would probably be super confusing for her to have someone expressing an interest in her first, without her having to chase them and wear them down
