New lore dropped for Vengeance so I'm gonna go write that down somewhere

For those that don't wanna go to my page for Vengeance!Demise stuff. I'll periodically update this post with new stuff as I think of it (if and when this headache goes away).

Vengeance!Demise is my Demise verse but with the Vengeance Mythic skin. Demise is already "Mirrorwatched" but she swaps places with Gabriel/Reaper specifically. So, that still carries here...but less "was in his place and became what he should've" and more so "was working with Moira to some degree". In other words, she - namely Angela instead of Demise - had a moment - whether during a mission or in her or Moira's research - that made her go "my tech is good - great even - but it's not the best it could be".

HCs:

Demise does take on the mantle of "Vengeance" in this verse. So instead of referring to her as "Demise" I will refer to her as "Vengeance".

Vengeance becomes a powerful member within Talon.

Subject to change when event mode releases:

Ana swaps with Widow (or Moira?)

Tracer takes Reaper's spot (or Widow?)

Sojourn becomes their black ops/spec ops agent (?)

Vengeance swaps with Max or Moira (it's sort of hinted that she leads Talon...like as their leader...so taking DF's spot?)

DF takes Soldier's spot (based on the name of his skin)

Widow takes Ana's (based on the name of her skin)

Sombra takes...Tracer or Rein's spot (? she gets just an epic skin that's 'agent' not 'cadet' or 'lieutenant')

Vengeance has all of Reaps' abilities listed here and her own.

Vengeance's mastery over life and death is very prevalent here.

She will decide who receives her aid. If you fail her, she'll just bring you back to do it all over again (with the hope of you succeeding this time, of course, but either result will amuse her with your pain).

Vengeance will use you to any and every means necessary. You died on the field but can still provide use to her? She'll do so...if only to throw you to the wolves so she can escape or otherwise distract the enemy. Or if you have information within life but were killed...well, she'll just bring you right on back to give her said information. You will. This is not a negotiation, she can and will resort to torture. I mean, she can just heal you right on back to healthy just to repeat the process...how long can one stand agony?

Vengeance is more ruthless/ruder/power-hungry than her normal counterpart (Angela).

Voice lines:

"I decide who receives my aid."

"I didn't say you could rest."

"Don't underperform now."

"Minor setbacks mean nothing."

Interactions:

The new interactions between Mauga and Mercy (the one where he asks if he can call her 'Angela' specifically) would've gone differently for Vengeance. Instead of saying "For you? Doctor Ziegler." she'd instead say "For you? It'll be your demise." (I had to include this bc I find it cute that he sounds like he's flirting with her.)

Her red eyes turned from the night sky to the other who interrupted her quiet night. It was quite bold of them to approach seeing how most strayed far away from her. They feared her. As they should.

I sat down and wrote some more HCs for Vengeance. Are they at all on par with what I want them to be? No, we haven't received the event mode yet 😭

Am I working on a Vengeance!Demise verse to bridge the gap between them since Demise is technically already "Mirrorwatched"? Maybe. It's heavily WIP until I get my hands on that event (hopefully it includes voice lines to kinda explain certain relationships - 👀 @ Moira). But I have IDEAS. Don't wanna write anything out too much but just letting y'all know. Demise/Vengeance is the reason I got my muse back. At least, for her. We'll see about Gabriel/Reaps by association.

Demise: I haven't had many interactions, but I didn't instantly fold for a cowboy like someone.

Oni: ....I feel like we're not putting enough blame on Reaps considering the number of partners he folds for.

Fun thoughts for y'all because I'm reminded of Reaps and Demise's heights.....

Reaps would hate Demise upon first meeting because she/they are taller than him and he cannot fathom it - Demise being 7'5" and Reaps being 7'1". He's even more upset when it's revealed that used to be Angie (or still is - albeit buried within Demise - to some).

However, they would bond over what they're capable of doing. Not like "oh you can do this? I can do this!" but more so "I can do that too. Better even." It's 100% competitive bonding over being nanite monsters.

If they do ever get to actually bond close enough that they trust one another to a degree (maybe not "friend" level but "I'd trust them to have my back in a fight" level). Reaps would be curious to know how souls look and taste for Demise. Do they have similar tastes and/or preferences? Do the souls that taste sweet to Reaps also taste sweet to Demise? Do certain souls have different colors? Is a sweet soul purple or something? It's a curiosity Reaps hasn't truly had before - not even for Wraith. Demise feels similarly. It's a kinship that nothing could compare to.
