It’s fairly powerful; the price would be something he could not pay her, far beyond what people would be capable of giving.

It softens her some, allowing herself to bend to his level, and look him in the eye.

Watching-- listless, silent, an observer to the quiet he seems to thrive within. It pulls her lips upwards, lifting her heart. In a way, she wishes she could be more, be less flightly and more solid, grounded to him and the things he desperately wishes for.

But she is not here, a dream for him to observe, to love in that second like the fleeting memories of a mother lost.

So all she can do is watch, and smile.
