thinking about nico, who adores coming up to hug you from behind, wrapping his arms around your waist and nuzzling his face into your neck. thinking about nico, who will always reach out to you when you move even slightly away from him in bed, even if he’s dead asleep; it’s like instinct for him. thinking about nico, who even if he swears he’s not going to like the new show you want to watch with him always winds up getting invested, making you give him a play-by-play update if you watch any new episodes while he’s away. thinking about nico, who has the breath knocked out of him whenever he sees you in some clothing of his, especially if it’s a jersey with his number, because he almost can’t believe someone as beautiful as you is wearing something that belongs to him. thinking about nico, who is absolutely useless to ask whenever you’re going through outfit options for going out, because he will insist you look amazing in everything and completely mean it.

thinking about nico, who has always given his all to everything - to his family, to his team, to hockey in general - but especially gives his all to you, because you are the best thing in his life, his whole world who deserves to be held with the gentlest hands and spoken to with the most loving words and kissed like a most precious treasure, and he thinks, not that it’s something he’d ever say aloud, that he’d rather never step out on to the ice again than love you with any less than you deserve.
