whenever i think about hector and imelda wedding, i think about Jorge Negrete and Maria Felix wedding outfits: Jorge went dressed in his charro suit with la manta (you are from Jalisco so correct me if im wrong) del jarabe jalisqueño and Maria, since she was divorced and had a son, didnt wear white and I read somewhere, i cant remember where or if it was in a documentary, that her dress was a 1910s dress that she made restore

Poncho or zarape (if I read serape one more time… THEY HAD IT COMMING *sorry my musical nerd ass is showing*). 

I can’t confirm about her dress, I’ve been searching for the last hour but if let’s take in account that when Negrete and La Doña got married was when the governament forced the movie producers to create a glorious image of Mexico, both on the country and on the city and a revaloration of the typical mexican was made. SO it’s different from what I’ve been argumenting because it’s almolst half a century ago from the supposed date of wedding of Imelda and Hector.

Oh yeah, and as I readed, Maria Felix had a silver streak of hair. So maybe Imelda’s and Elena’s silver stread was inspired by her. A nice touch if you ask me.

And I readed about the sexual life of Maria Felix and Jorge Negrete and… my my, who would say that of the mythical Negrete? (I can picture him missing Maria until she passed away half a century after him… and then fighting against Agustin Lara, singing Maria Bonita to make him get angry for singing the song that HE made for HIS Maria Bonita -Lara was extremely jealous, Felix says that once he tried to kill her-).
