While there is no EXACT SET IN order one has to complete the gym challenge in Paldea like in other region, there is a sort of recommended order / difficulty level that most students follow ( Cortondo gym → Artazon gym  → Levincia gym, etc. )

During Celeste's first time loop / first attempt at the gym challenge, she actually trained HARD before she attempted the first gym and even then, she nearly wiped. It wasn't until she talked to Nemona until she realized her mistake.

She accidentally made a wrong turn and challenged Artazon gym first instead of Cortondo gym.

Thankfully, her next gym battle with Katie was NOT AS BAD as the one with Brassius.

She also challenged Mela first by accident and Penny didn't bother to correct her; thinking she was just REALLY confident.

I had to think about WHY Celeste shows enough compassion towards Terapagos, the Loyal Three, and Chien - Pao to either keep them around or release them in the case of the Loyal Three when she decided to trap the Miraidon that killed Professor Turo and nearly killed her and her friends in box hell forever and I feel like it comes down to thisㅤ—ㅤshe doesn't view the Paradox Pokémon as actual Pokémon.

As a former Area Zero Expedition researcher, she's studied just how terrifying these things can be and how easily they can slaughter human beings. Even if something like that can be said about a lot of other Pokémon, she's actually SEEN them kill. It doesn't help that the research team also came to the conclusion that many of the Paradox Pokemon were originally built to be weapons like Iron Treads and Iron Crown, could have been extraterrestrial spies like Iron Moth ( though she doesn't think that theory is likelyㅤ—ㅤshe hopes ), or worse yet, possess a frightening malice towards humans like Iron Jugulis and Iron Valiant. She honestly wishes she could get rid of every single one of them and make sure that terrifying future never arrives but she knows that's impossible due to the sheer amount that escaped. The only exception to this is her own Miraidon for obvious reasons.

Meanwhile, even though Terapagos DID try to kill Kieran, it was just a scared Pokémon. Even if the Loyal Three DID kill Ogerpon's friend, they were under the control of Pecharunt. And even if the Ruinous Quartet nearly felled an entire kingdom, they're also just Pokemon ( even though she knows it was a grave mistake to free Chien - Pao and knows better to NOT free the rest of them ).

I also feel like her attitude would be slightly more sympathetic towards the Paradox Pokémon if she were a Pokemon Scarlet protagonist under Professor Sada and she was dealing with the PAST Paradoxes that aren't machines. But that's not the timeline she wound up in.

Casual list of battles Celeste struggles with no matter how many times she faces them and how many loops she goes through

Within the time loops:

★ Atticus - Poison types are the bane of her existence.

☆ Eri - You'd think Celeste wouldn't struggle because of the type advantage and she mostly doesn't but what in Arceus' name is she Eri putting in that car ? !

★ Professor Turo - The source of all her problems ! There wouldn't be a time loop without him !

Outside the time loops:

☆ The BB Elite Four: She actually struggled with everyone except Drayton. She beat Drayton by an embarrassing landslide because of half of her Pokémon were had fairy typings.

There's other legendries that Celeste has encountered that I haven't put down on her Carrd so here's the list.

★ Terapagos - Caught at Kieran's urging even though she really didn't want to. She's kind of terrified of it's power so basically just keeps it around as a pet turtle because she feels too bad to send it to box hell. She WOULD give Terapagos back to Kieran but it tried to kill him so that's a no - go

☆ The Ruinous Quartet - Caught Chien - Pao but then realized that catching them was something she should NOT mess with. The rest are still sealed but she's keeping Chien - Pao as a giant house cat because it's not like there's another choice.

★ The Loyal Three - Decided they suffered enough under Pecharunt and left them alone.

☆ Pecharunt - IT ESCAPED.

★ Scarlet and Violet DLC Legendaries - Currently leaving them alone. Wouldn't catch them unless they're posing a threat to Paldea / Unova.

Also as so far, most of my followers are from B/SD, a little more info about her B/SD verse.

Celeste is a seemingly normal student going for the STEM track and for the most part, keeps to herself. It's pretty easy to think that she has no friends and the reality is thatㅤ—ㅤshe HAD friends. She once had a lovely little, tight - knit group with fellow students Nemona, Arven, Penny, Carmine, and Kieran.

However, all five of them went MISSING one day. They were all assumed to have ran away from home and forgotten about. Their families searched for answers but none were ever found. But Celeste knew the truth.

Every single one of them had abilities and her parents got wind of this. Her parents kidnapped them, dragged them to their government research facilities and brutally tortured all of them until they PASSED.

Celeste is AFRAID of two things now. First, she's afraid of showing her own ability to anyone. Second, she's hesitant to get close to anyone ever again.

Writing this down for my own reference butㅤ—ㅤ

Celeste was obviously not a very good Pokemon trainer in her original timeline. She did attempt the gym challenge but gave up before even reaching Katy due to being discouraged at her lack of skill. She went on to become Professor Turo's assistant instead and that's how the real story begins.

In the original timeline, she only has a Sprigatito, a Pawmi, and a Marill. She probably could have taken on Katy but she lost her confidence after losing one too many battles.

Because of her upbringing as Professor Turo's assistant , Celeste spent a lot of her teenage years studying and BARELY sleeping or taking care of herself; let alone doing her hair and makeup like most other girls her age were. She didn't have the time to focus on that during her Treasure Hunt / quest to save Paldea either.

When Kieran's grandmother did her hair though ? She spent the entire night afterward trying to replicate that exact hairstyle just so his grandmother wouldn't be sad that her hair was back to normal the next day.

Nowadays though, she ONLY wears that hairstyle during the Festival of Masks just because it takes so long to do.

˗ˏˋ ʚㅤ★ㅤɞ ‿︵ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤThe funny thing about Celeste is that during all of those time loops, she COULD have switched out her Pokémon for literally anything else. Competitively, her team is terrible and there are a few certain battles that always gave her trouble that WEREN'T Professor Turo and his Paradox Pokémon. She KNOWS this.

ʚㅤ★ㅤɞㅤ˗ˏˋㅤYet every single loop, she managed to go to the same exact spots and find those same exact Pokémon over and over again. Even her Pawmi she would eventually end up benching because her mother wanted it, she would catch. She can't bear the thought of tossing aside her partners just because those are HER partners. If they're not strong enough, it's her fault and she has to be a better trainer.

ʚㅤ★ㅤɞㅤ˗ˏˋㅤIf she does attempt another gym challenge in another region and they have some rule where she can't bring her Paldean team, she'll catch new Pokemon but she's NEVER giving up on her original team.
