Because Sunday probably ends up thinking that you will be someone who he doesn't have to pretend around, he can be more free around you because you can see through him. I can even see the attraction being platonic at first before turning into something darker.

But because you can see through him, you know that there's something dangerous about him under that ethereal, beautiful appearance. There's no way you're getting yourself involved with that. Sunday simply wants someone he can be real around :')

For darlings who are on the sharper side, I can see them also being compatible with Aventurine/Sunday.

As in those who can see through their social masks, but either: doesn't try to "fix" them or avoids them. If you can see through their social mask it's obvious that being on bad terms or being close to them is a bad idea. I think this also intrigues Aventurine/Sunday and makes them go after their crush.

Hm.. yes, I can see how that'd work with these two.

In Aventurine's case, I think, you would need to make a strong first impression, something that will get him thinking, looking back and prompt him to seek you out despite your obvious disinterest. Aventurine lives for that thrill and anticipation, the risk that comes with chasing you.

It's quite reminiscent to the probability games he's so fond of ; what kind of excuse will you give him today? What drastic measures will you take to avoid engaging in a prolonged interaction? What will your reaction be if he decides to do something you dread? And many more questions he wants to find the answer to. It's like accidentally catching a fish you didn't want and setting it free, except, it just keeps coming back for more of that bait.

Although the same bait can be cast towards Sunday, you could catch his attention without ever having a direct interaction with him as well. Sunday is observant and perceptive. If he takes a liking to you, he'd first yearn for an opportunity for you two to interact naturally. He's a busy man and he'd really like pieces to just fall into place smoothly. But when that doesn't happen and his interest also shows no signs of dwindling, he'd approach you himself with the biggest inhale.

He's quick to pick up on your aversion from the interaction and he gives it his all in trying to appease to you, saying everything that he thinks you expect him to. Honestly, he's quite disheartened by the end of it, he really just wants to get to know you :( Sunday knows to give you space and return at a more auspicious time. Mistake not though, his patience may be vast but not limitless and who knows what a man of his stature can do once snapped.

One thing they have in common is that they'd immediately know what you're trying to do but the difference is that, one will simply ignore it and the other will try to be respectful till he can't anymore.

bestie I'm currently reading a really good imperial palace setting manga, and in one of the scenes the concubine used her jewelry to "mark" her handmaidens to prevent bad people from approaching them.

Imagine Neuvillette with a human crush that somehow has the draconic habit of marking her loved ones, but she uses jewelry. Mr Neuvillette most likely sees it as darling understanding dragon courting.

Even funnier if in reality darling doesn't understand dragon courting.

To Neuvillette, the message within that gesture is bold and clear ; it's a sign of ownership and an unspoken invite for his reciprocation, to you, it's an expression of your unadulterated care. Something you've done before and to which Neuvillette definitely wasn't the first in line — but he doesn't know that.

Neuvillette takes great care of whatever piece of jewelry you've given him, be it a necklace, bracelet, earring or hairpin. Though, I think what would scratch his brain just right is if you were to give him a ring instead. He promptly orders a special box to be crafted from the sturdiest material to store them and polishes them himself regularly and so diligently that by the time you see them again, you think it's a new jewelry entirely. Due to his draconic features, I think he'd be able to pick up on the vaguest traces of ‘you’ from your jewelry. For example : your necklace carries a good portion of your fragrance, in your bracelet and hairpin, there's a lingering scent of the hand cream and shampoo you use. Neuvillette is able to learn so much about you from those small gifts alone.

Your jewelry also serves as a catalyst of comfort when things get too hard for the Chief Justice, they remind him of the promise and motivate him to continue for your sake. This festering paranoia is something he knows is quite absurd but, Neuvillette thinks that he cannot, by any chance, allow dust and moisture to damage the jewelry. Even the faintest decrease in shine, the alignment that your affections for him must be decaying? It makes him uncomfortable beyond description. And since things are so sweet and perfect in Neuvillette's head, it's all the more devastating in the case he learns of your true intentions. Poor Hydro Dragon.

Side thought : I was thinking about the same scenario but, with a darling with amnesia. Some angst thrown into yandere!neuvillette is always good in my humble opinion.

Though I don't really write for Pierro or Capitano, let's say, hypothetically, you managed to outwit Neuvillette's advances with the culmination of everything you've ever achieved and inherited in your life and got yourself intertwined with a Harbinger of the highest echelon. But there's a catch, once you sign the contract, there's no backing out. Because of the way you both pose and establish all such boundaries and conditions, it's almost questionable if it's a marriage or a business deal. Regardless, you get what you asked for : protection and power and initially, there's a semblance of peace.

Adapting with the new environment would not be easy, but you're determined on doing it anyway. It's almost amusing to your new husband how much the idea of the Chief Justice of Fontaine plagues you. Harbingers are always vigilant for an opportunity that'll benefit them, so who's to say your husband in particular will not use your concerns to his advantage? Neuvillette, on the other hand, is temporarily in disarray but it is what is it, temporary. There's no end to all the crimes attached to a Harbinger's name and all Neuvillette looks for, is a chance to bring the Harbinger in Fontaine, where having them judged in the Court will be just a matter of when. It will not be easy for either parties to win, especially for you as you soon realize that in the pursuit of freeing yourself from one obsessive man, you'd gotten tangled with another.

Remember the Sunday chat with yandere-romanticaa? Sunday gives off INFJ and as someone who (accidentally) manages to get an INFJ to take their social mask off I can confirm that the key is to be someone they can fully show their true selves to.

INFJs also has Fe aux, and for Fe users someone who isn't judgemental about their true self is good for them.

I'm inclined to agree, too, specially after carefully watching Sunday's interaction with Sparkle. As an infj myself, I adore people who don't make me feel like an alien or aren't constantly poking me for reactions irl. I think every infj values ‘sincerity’ to a degree which includes authenticity of intention.

I imagine as Sunday holds such a high position, it must be hard for him to trust people in general, let alone trust a person with himself. If someone was able to create that safe, comforting space by just being themselves (not just with the intention of getting him out of his shell because he'd be able to tell) and wouldn't judge what they discover, he'd adore them.
