So uh, hey I might be lower activity than normal from here-on !!! Because I have orientation in a few days !!! At my new in-person job !!

It's nothing crazy ; I'll be picking groceries and non-groceries for customers of the store I applied to, for said customers to pick up or have delivered ! Not a ton of human interaction but I'm still around people all the time, since I'll be out on the store floor. Which I can deal with ; one or two people asking me questions is nothing. It's having to interact with too many people in one go that fucks me up.

But hey ! I fuckin' did it ! No more unsteady and unpredictable odd jobs for meeeee !

Anyways, my days off are Thursdays and Saturdays, so it's most likely that Saturday will be the day I reply ( if I remember ; these first few weeks might be rough so don't hold me to that standard ), since Thursdays are always going to be combination shopping, appointments, and cleaning days.

If you need me directly / presently, I'm on discord at vergiisparda ( two i's ( eyes ), not eye-el ), just let me know who you are so I don't immediately ignore the DM 😭, otherwise Saturdays will mostly be when I can reply. At least until I get used to this and evenings are fine.

I was exhausted Saturday, an explanation not an excuse, and spent most of the day either sleeping or trying not to die of Too Humid disease, so using my PC was a no go LMAO

I will try my best but atp I have to get either a tablet or a laptop so I don't have to turn my PC on and shit, it feels like a chore ( replying doesn't, just the act of going upstairs and setting up my PC and doing all the things to turn it on )

But also, I start my first full day shift tomorrow, and then Saturday—after that, my days off will be Thursday and Saturday, and as I said before thursdays are mine and my mom's cleaning and shopping / " honey do " days. Saturdays are our days off.

But knowing me, it's gonna take a while for me to get used to this—my previous jobs have all been pretty lax, and before that none at all, so it'll take getting used to. I don't know how long that'll be, but im not going on hiatus because I will reply eventually ( probably sometime these next two weeks ) !

Also a blanket apology for not responding to discord messages / DMs. I've been pretty dead aocial battery wise, and that makes it difficult to respond in a way that isn't unintentionally snippy or seemingly disinterested ( I promise I'm not, I'm just very exhausted ). I'm doing my best to recharge but it's a battle, lol.

I'll reply as I can and everything, plus I'll always be available at ( usually ) 2:00-3:00pm EST, from mobile ( that's my lunch break ). I'll try to reply, socially ( discord ) then, lol

I found a pretty cool new template to use that I might just, for the funnies ( it's a mock-Wikipedia article, and if there is one thing I like doing, it's inserting Vergil into formats that are unusual and silly, like Wikipedia articles and SCP write-ups ( which, I have done, and I think it's hilarious )

Anyway, I shall stop yapping and get myself to bed ; if I forget to update my google doc or announce that I'm starting on it . . . yell at me, okay ? I have to get that done. And update my promo, and my tumblr theme, and add some mobile links that aren't a google doc for people who don't want to leave the app ( valid, unironically, the app barely works as is and adding external links is like setting off a nuke ), etc. I still don't know how to use Carrd so . . . apologies !

A head's up—I am a vehement disliker of the new Netflix anime coming out, so if you're going to post about it in the coming weeks please tag appropriately ; I don't want to see anything about it as I'm too annoyed at how badly Vergil has already been butchered, on top of how badly Dante's characterization has also been butchered ( and his appearance ; though make no mistake, I don't care that Johnny is voicing him, he's doing a good job so far and that's about the only upside, because fuck Reuben Langdon ( for obvious reasons ) ).

I also will not be treating the anime as canon in any way whatsoever, as there is already-established canon for pre-Devil May Cry 3, and that already includes the poorly-translated manga from which the original white rabbit / Alice in wonderland storyline resides ( it's the manga where Vergil calls Alice a whore ( yikes, he would never, not even as a 19 year old professional hater ), and Dante claims his penis is 12 inches long ( a badly translated joke and not canon either )

And third, I will not interact with any " new anime " characters that are sure to pop up in the coming weeks. Sorry, but, I hate everything about the new anime and that extends to Dante's whose main verse will be the anime, as well as Vergil ( though I've always been pro-doubles, you're always welcome here if you're also a Vergil and not into spardacest ), Lady, or any other character involved ( as I've seen Fredi's restaurant and Cindi involved. . . Who both did not exist until the first anime, ten years after the events of 3 . . . Which makes zero sense timeline-wise as Cindi would have been a child and unable to waitress, but again, that's just reiterating my second point )

Sorry if that upsets anyone but I've always needed to get better at voicing my own boundaries / dislikes ( I'm usually a massive push-over ) and this is one of them. I also usually am not this bitter about much of anything, but we went from " if I make this anime it will be the greatest bootleg universe and adhere heavily to canon because I am a super fan who knows all the lore " to " I'm going to reassure the fans that this clip I kept in the trailers actually should have been edited out and the rest of the anime is absolutely not like that I promise you guys " in the span of three years.

Anyway, that's all ! honestly though, I got a metric fuck ton done tonight. Replied to everyone, finished my roleplayer layout, finished all the image resources for it, took the dog out, and managed to hydrate the WHOLE time. And I was already exhausted on top of that because of external factors ( shoutout to mother nature ).

h5 is giving me the most trouble. do you know how hard it is to add a stroke around text using css ? so you can have whatever headliner text you want instead of an extra image ? [ disgraced comedian dane cook voice ] do you even KNOW ?

anyway the three fonts are Playfair Display ( normal text ), Charm ( italic and strike-through ), and Victor Mono ( the sans serif font )

navigation links are going to change, I'm just working on the general text formatting before I do anything, and normal text is also going to be that same gray ( as you can see with H1, it's the color of the background grays ), and I'll probably change the text so it isn't italic and uppercase because that looks horrid ; I'll probably change the format of those two but this is what I got so far. Truly incredible.

Here's how Tumblr's going ( not much better, honestly ; that Spotify wrapper is giving me the MOST trouble . . . but look at my cute link icons hehe ). I'm probably going to shorten the Might Controls Everything text down so it's not a fucking paragraph of text, and all the other text is just a placeholder, obvs. and ofc i had to include the chair. it's his emotional support chair:

Pros of having two profiles ( here and Roleplayer ): double the chances for writing partners, the ability to mess around with old-school MySpace layouts, two very different RP spaces with different rule sets ( both of which I am used to ), the fun of never knowing what's going to happen or who you are going to meet Cons of having two profiles: navigating two coding languages that are almost the same but not really and rely on two different rule sets that are completely different and also being so out of practice with both of them that it's beyond a nightmare to try and remember how code both

( anyway I am making slow progress on both ; ironically, the MySpace coding is somehow doing easier than the tumblr one. idk how that happened )
