Hey, so I actually grew my hair out enough to donate twelve inches of length to Children With Hair Loss!

If you want to make a hair or money donation, please do so- They do not charge for wigs and they supply wigs for mainly children (but also adults) with medical reasons for hair loss such as cancer treatments, alopecia, burns, etc.

In other news, I'm getting ready for my pre-op appointment where I get to ask questions and back out if I want to from the procedure, but we're going all in 100% bitches.

I cut off my hair and am donating all 12 inches to Children With Hair Loss along with a money donation, so they're sending me a super cute hot pink and black raglan shirt with their non-profit organization name on it.

They make and supply wigs made of real hair to children and adults who have lost hair for medical reasons at NO COST to them. If you want to donate your hair or make a donation, please help them out. It really does make a difference!

In other news, they pushed back my surgery date so my doctor can be there, which is very nice of her. Gonna try and get back with the writing and plotting.

Certain fans are saying Mina’s reaction ‘isn’t that serious like PTSD’, but all of the markers are there?

In middle school, she intervened when Gigantomachia was looking for a specific Hero Agency and threatening two other girls for information. It was clear that they were frightened and in danger, not to mention Mina directly placed herself between the girls and Gigantomachia- There was a very REAL threat/possibility she could have been hurt or killed if the villain didn’t get the answers he wanted.

She has fulfilled the criteria for having experienced more than one stressor that causes PTSD: Direct exposure to the trauma, being the first person to respond to the traumatic event (usually this criteria is for first responders such as police, firefighters, EMTs, etc), not to mention witnessing the trauma the other middle school girls underwent.

She freezes up and has a flashback to the event when they first encountered Gigantomachia, that’s why she is drawn in her middle school uniform- She is literally reliving that event in her brain and not aware of her current surroundings during the flashback. Not to mention her reactions once she snaps out of that trance are markers of someone who has been triggered into a PTSD-induced episode: she lost her grip on the sedative canister and was clearly fumbling to regain control over herself physically, tears were forming in her eyes, and she was obviously too stressed to quickly evade Gigantomachia’s hand coming towards her (countless times in the series we are shown that Mina is extremely quick to react and athletic enough to avoid most attacks).

“But she’s a teenager” doesn’t mean she CAN’T have PTSD. 

“But she didn’t ACTUALLY get hurt in middle school” doesn’t mean she CAN’T have PTSD.

“But what she went through wasn’t that serious” is a highly subjective opinion and doesn’t mean she CAN’T have PTSD.

IRL stuff, uh. Happened, so I’m not sure what this means aside from I need to find a new job that will actually give me healthcare… immediately. I need anti psychotics to function and I might be getting cut off from seeing a psychiatrist and he’s the reason why I can even get shit done like a regular human being at all.

I need to make my existence unobtrusive and something my step-mother can’t complain about, which means keeping the entire house functioning and somehow knowing what she needs taken care of without actually being asked to do anything (???). It’ll be subject to change and her whims, I am sure.

I will probably still have time to write and finish up drawings, but other stuff in my life will obviously be taking priority right now or I’m not sure how I’m going to make it without being homeless or sleeping in my car.

I will keep updating as soon as I know about what my regular routine or schedule might be.

Whoever designed my desk can bite me- My keyboard tray fell out because the screws got loose and trying to fix it involves fucking body contortion (and it’s only a matter of time before it falls out again cuz I don’t have an L-shaped tool).
