✄ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ Eyes  flash  with  sadness  as  he  looks  upon  her  with  a  bit  of  a  sympathetically  disheartened  smile.  The  kind  that  wasn’t  really  a  smile  of  joy-  just  a  smile  of  knowing.  A  sigh  escaped  his  heavy  chest,  and  he  spoke  again; ❝  You  and  I  both  know  I  know  you  too  well  to  believe  that’s  true,  Azura.  I  mean,  just  look  at  me...  ❞ He  gestured  vaguely  to  his  exhausted  features  and  eyes  which  had  something...  hard  to  determine  swimming  around  among  the  hopelessness. ❝  Would  you  bite  if  I  said  I  was  okay?  ❞

@curioosity || cont. ✄ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ That  hurt.  Worse  than  he  could  have  predicted.  Mads  paused  for  a  moment,  putting  his  kit  down,  and  considering  just  letting  her  go...  but  he  followed  her  at  the  last  second,  eyes  narrowed.  This  was  a  bad  idea. He  wasn’t  letting  it  go  down  like  that. ❝  We  aren’t  strangers  ,  Azura  ,  so  don’t  treat  me  like  one!  ❞ It  came  out  harsher  than  he  meant  for  it  to,  dropping  from  his  mouth  like  a  loaded  firework.  He  couldn’t  help  it...  this  was  just  so  frustrating.  Mads  couldn’t  handle  the  feeling  of  being  left  out. ❝  Things  are  hard  for  you  ,  I  get  it.  I  do.  But  I  can’t  help  you  if  you  don’t  let  me.  Don’t  push  me  away  ,  ‘Zu  ,  please!  ❞ He  wished  he  could  stop.  This  was  so  dangerous...  it  wasn’t  worth  it.  But  the  hurt  was  just  too  intense. ❝  I  can  handle  just  being  your  friend,  as  much  as  that  pains  me,  but  I  can’t  handle  being  left  out.  Gods  ,  Azura  ,  just  let  me  in.  Don’t  carry  this  weight  on  your  own.  ❞
