(( I dunno for sure who of you also writes on their own projects in their freetime, I am just guessing and curious xD ))

(WORKING) TITLE? Currently it's titled The Water Is Fine. Kind of a dumb title, ik, but it's rooted in both where the story goes & a real life event I took inspiration from. So, it makes sense in my head so far but I might change it later.

GENRE? I'm dipping my toes into Horror / Mystery for the first time. Though I'd say it's more Psychological Horror than anything more upfront. It's fun figuring out how to change your writing style to evoke emotional responses, but it's tough af. Not sure if I'm succeeding, we'll see xD

CURRENT WORD COUNT? 5.354 - not much. I have been slacking a lot lately due to uni-related stuff T_T

ANY INSPIRATIONS? Mainly it's rooted in my own fear of erratic, unpredictable behaviour of someone you are supposed to feel safe with. I thought it was good to start with something familiar. A while ago I also found a podcast where a young woman told her story of having to deal with the drug abuse related issues of her boyfriend. While my project doesn't deal with drug abuse or the like, I really felt for her as I listened what twist that story took and got inspired by the water-related ramblings of her partner. Other than that, I have always been interested in nature mythology - especially in the microcosm of small towns in the middle of nowhere and local folklore.

🤔 What’s a story you’d love to write but haven’t even started yet?

Since I am currently obsessed with cave diving gone wrong cases, I really want to write a horror short story about someone who gets stuck in an air pocket in the dark. And since sensory deprivation leads to hallucinations, they soon start to see and hear things as they slowly run out of batteries for their flashlight, waiting for help to find them before it's too late. What really entices me about this is the challenge of a claustrophobic setting and psychological pressure.

Seeing that a lot of people I only know through writing support me and have my back when things got difficult in the past. It was very touching and helped a lot.

Oof, learning the hard way that the RPC is very out of touch with reality when it comes to writing fiction in general. Like, I’ve met individuals who were very vile with their stance on fiction and what they considered “dark content”, villains or general portrayals of morally grey muses that they didn’t approve of. 

I’m still unsure if the critical thinking skills of the RPC is really this underdeveloped or if some individuals just assume everyone’s a lost sheep and they’re the only good ones who know “the right way”. Idk, it was a baffling experience to me. Actually distinctive enough to make me base my bachelor’s thesis on bs I saw floating around here like the horrid phenomenon it is, so... thanks for that xD

✈️ — EVER TRAVELED ANYWHERE INTERESTING?

Honestly, I find anywhere interesting if it gets me out of my country. I’ve been outside of Europe two times, but I think my favorite place is still in Europe and in France -- in Brittany, to be exact: St. Malo is a port city and me and my family have strong ties with another family there since WWII, so we count them to our extended family.

It used to be a stronghold for privateers and just looks hella cool with the thick granit walls surrounding it. It’s so impressive when it storms and the waves are crashing over it.

Oof, slice of life stuff really doesn’t interest me, just as very domestic things without anything to spice it up (like angsty situations or conflicts / emotions, funny incidents). And ofc pregnancy-related stuff is a bit of a no-no for me unless I am comfortable with another writer and muse. I am definitely trying to be more open to that topic bc I have muses who actually like kids and can handle them well.

Apart from that, I’m not exactly good at writing smut and avoid it most of the times, unless the muse requires me to write things out in order to stay true to their character xD

For one, my great-aunt. In my family it’s been normal for several generations to grow up with more than one “mom” bc most kids grew up together. That goes for both my grandma and her sister, my mom and her siblings / cousins and me and my cousins. I’ve got like 4 moms and my biological one and my great-aunt are the ones who are still alive. We even call my great-aunt “Mama [Name]”.

And apart from her, my theatre friends. We are having a reunion with all the theatre kids and it’s crazy how it has been over ten years since I’ve seen most of them for the last time but whenever I meet one again we are still as close as we used to be. I love them very much.

🖊 — ANY TATTOOS?

Nope. I’ve been thinking more than once about getting one (also bc I’ve been told people are disappointed since I am what they call ‘that kind of person we expected to have tattoos’, whatever that means), but honestly? I get bored too easily. If I am already changing my hair in any shape and color and other things all two to three months I know exactly that I would get bored with a tattoo in the same time span.

 Bc of that I’d probably get it in a place where I wouldn’t have to look at it all the time bc I’d get pissed and that shouldn’t be the emotion or intention behind it xD (( Emry argues with me on that, but never listen to your muse who made more than one questionable tattoo choices ))

🗒 — WHAT IS / ARE YOUR FAVORITE GENRE(S) / THEME(S) TO WRITE?

I am very much into anything limited to a Small Town plot, really. Especially Horror, Crime, Romance, but apart from that I am also into Apocalyptic stuff.

Depends on the muse I write. With most of them I like to listen to music and it also isn’t crucial to what kind of music I am listening to. With Joe tho I can’t really do that bc I have to get the tone of his character right and he’s like so removed from my own mindset that relating to him while writing is more challenging than with, let’s say Abel.

🤔 What’s a story you’d love to write but haven’t even started yet?

I am currently outlining the story of a young woman who's in a co-dependent relationship with a pair of siblings and together, they engage in strange and concerning behaviour in their hicksville as they become obsessed with the dead bodies they find in the area. The vibe and characters are pretty much based on a few Nicole Dollanganger songs and mainly, refer to the specific line of "restlessness leads to a dangerous kind of fun". Current working title is The Dolls until I came up with something better. But yeah... winter season is the time for darker fiction to write, in my case 😅

------ UGH... to be honest, I don't enjoy engaging with Fandoms anymore. I'm too old and tired for that. They went from a fun place to get into exchange with other fans to a heavily toxic environment where people are just trying to be difficult. Like, just for the sake of it. I really miss the time when I was just gushing with my friends over a new book we discovered or a movie we watched.

       Even in film school I am able to have good and civil conversations with people about a thing we both like but have different opinions on, without derailing it into a battlefield.

       For me, Fandoms suck out the fun of the very things I enjoy. Sadly. It's also why I prefer to interact with fandomless OCs or OCs in general. Different verses for a muse from different Fandoms are different from being entirely tied into one -- and we all know how much Fandom drama there is in the RPC. No, thank you.
