      “𝓘 think the new decorations of town square look marvelous.” Kalabar sighed happily and looked around the patch of land as he stood beside Lynn. Leaves scattered across the road, a familiar chill in the air, and there was distant chatter around the busy streets. “I do enjoy the aged and decrepit. The new-old looking decorations highlight the pumpkin quite well.”

      “𝓘 do hope that you’ll stay around for this year for Halloween. We’ve got a lot of things planned for the festivities... including hay rides, pie eating, pumpkin carving...magic displays, fireworks. Even a handful of musical performances. As well as some things I wont mention, because what’s the fun in knowing surprises? It should be terrific.”

ㅤㅤ❝𝓨es, do know of that lore.❞ Kalabar confirmed his son's statement of the ghostly variety being rather depressed. Having passed on and being stuck roaming the world without a vessel, perhaps reliving horrific memories every moment of every day. It wasn't the best life, but somehow they managed to get through it. ❝Majority of it tends to be true. Despite their depressive outlook on life, most of them tend to be pretty welcoming citizens of this town.❞

ㅤㅤ❝𝓞h, come now. Graveyards can be a lovely place to spend some time.❞ Kalabar replied happily. Hoping that the being can at least see it from his perspective, even just a little bit. ❝They're final resting places for a lot of beings, and people go to them to mourn, to seek comfort during trying times. Albeit, sometimes those that have passed to reanimate. But only in some cases like zombies or mummies... You could also take walks and reminisce. And overall, the aesthetics of the graveyards just add a certain haunting vibe that I very much enjoy.❞

ㅤㅤ𝓚alabar didn't want to get into an argument with Gwen, especially after they had just reunited for the first time in what felt like hundreds of years— Though time did pass differently between lands, it could have very well been a hundred years. ❝You're right, I shouldn't have asked.❞ He gave his head a small shake, aggravated with the fact that he brought up the subject without realizing that the human had passed.. Let alone the fact that they weren't even dating at this moment, to say he had rushed into things far too quickly was an understatement and could have very well ruined the moment and very well what relationship they had remaining.

It’s something that just happens, and as a mayor of a town, I like to know who I’m speaking with.”
