Collector startled at Amity's awakening, and her subsequent question.

He hadn't meant to wake her up. When he dropped by the Owl House to see King, he hadn't expected Amity to be there at all - a welcome surprise, though, since she had always been nice to him, even when she had no reason to.

They'd floated over to where she was slumped over on the couch, and leaned in curiously to get a closer look at what was laid out on the table in front of her.

Books. Lots and lots of books. Textbooks, notebooks with scrawled diagrams and notes littering both of the currently open pages. For school, maybe? Probably, if she was this tired from studying it to fall asleep.

Against their better judgement, they leaned in a bit more to try and decipher what it was she'd been working on, clasping his hands and bringing them to his chin, letting out a hum to go with it... and that noise had been enough to rouse Amity out of the light sleep she'd fallen into while studying.

❝ Oh, sorry... ❞ He uttered, floating down from his place above the table and settling onto the floor. ❝ I didn't mean to wake you up. ❞ Collector added quickly, feeling bad for having done so. ❝ I just got here, but... I don't think you were out that long. ❞
