Kansas City, Missouri. It was an abandoned town riddled with humans infected with a demonic virus, and those who weren't infected? Well, they were led by none other than Dean Winchester. This isn't the first time a demonic virus broke out. The first one had happened about 20 years ago, and now it was back tenfold. Dean was ready this time, though. He wouldn't be taken by surprise this time like he was last.
Walking through the debris of the city, patrolling the outskirts of camp, Dean held his gun in hand, the handheld live and ready to shoot anything that dared to breathe and walk in his direction. Unlike last time this outbreak had happened, Dean didn't have the proper gear. Now? He was in a heavy padded suit that would protect him if any zombies tried to bite him. Turning quick on his heels when he heard rubble fall of crumble behind him, his gun was up quick, finger on the trigger, as he stared down a young woman.

"Move, and I pull the trigger. You'll be dead before you hit the ground."

Dean looked around them to make sure that they were safe before he put his own gun away, putting the safety on before he put his own gun in its own holster at well. He could see how stressed the other was, enough to pull out a blunt. Scrunching up his nose at the smell, Dean still took the blunt. Heβs definitely had better tasting weed than this. This was that cheap shit. Coughing a bit after he took a deep inhale and held it in, he blew the smoke out and waved his guys off, a silent order to keep patrolling.
βThis really the best shit you got? Iβll send you back with some better shit,β he murmured and passed the blunt back.Β βAnβ howβs retirement going, hm? Thought retirement meant that you stopped hunting.β Scratching as his beard when it was mentioned, Dean chuckled softly.Β βI dunno. I kinda like it.β he hummed softly and pushed his hair out of his face.
"What happened? What happened was the virus came back three times as strong," he frowned and crossed his arms. "That's why you don't see any of us wearing what you'd call civilian clothes. The sons of bitches that dare walk this earth and these streets has already killed four of my men."
β β β πt took him a moment to process what was genuinely happening before his pistol was lowered and placed back inside its holster γLetting an audible sigh escape his throat the retired hunter managed to carefully approach the armored man, gaze softening while his shoulders remained slightly less tense than before γGod knows he has to be on guard around this place γHowever, something felt off γThick digits managed to dig around his jacket to pull out a blunt before lighting it and bringing it to his lips γCalm down γGod knows he needed this shit since he practically stopped drinking, but he does indulge occasionally γHe took a hit, inhaling the smoke in his lungs before passing it over to the other and waving the crew behind his other self to lower their weapons γ
β β β β πeems like it, hell I fuckinβ retired and went down a different path but some hunter I knew needed some help γMan β you look like absolute shit, when was the last time you trimmed ya beard Χ
Χ
π€ Granted, Iβm not one to talk but man γ γ anyway, what the fuck happened the last time I was here Χ

Keeping his hand on his pistol that sat snuggly in his holster on his hip, Dean glanced over at Sonny when she asked about Cas.
"Stoned. High. Whatever you wanna call it," he muttered as he led her to his camp where the other hunters were. "He's barely an angel at this point, low tier with little Grace, so he's been trained to be an actual hunter. If he's not having orgys with women or getting stoned, he's actually useful." Past Dean would never talk about his best friend like that, but this wasn't Sonny's Dean.
Looking up again as they walked through the rubble, Dean thought for a moment at her offer to help patch hunters up. "I'm sure we can find something for you to do until we can figure out how to get you back to your world." Just another mouth to feed. he thought brassenly to himself.

Looking the woman over and making sure she wasn't hurt, though not approaching her because he was still a little wary of her sudden appearance in his world, Dean's eyes met hers again. Could she help?
"Absolutely not," he spoke bluntly. "If anything, you can sit back at camp until we can figure out how you even got here. You can keep Cas company if he's not high off his ass."

Tucking his gun into the holster on his hip, Dean's eyes didn't leave Sonny. Sure, he felt bad for telling her that he had to kill her parents, but he had no choice. It was a life or death situation.
"Sorry, but I had to," he spoke, though his tone didn't sound as sorry as he meant. After being in this war for so long, he'd gone cold. Hell, he was cold 20 years ago when his brother said yes to Lucifer. "I had no choice." Adjusting hus brown leather fingerless gloves on his hands, he glanced up at her. "It's the Croatoan virus. A demonic virus to put into layman's terms. There's no cure."

Dean was quiet as he listened to the woman. Sonny as she had called herself. Then she said her parents were Connie and Luis Munroe. Why did those names sound so damn familiar to him?
"That safehouse burned down 15 years ago," he murmured, keeping his hazel eyes trained on her. "Then 7 years ago, Connie and Luis...well... I had to put a bullet in their heads. As much as I didn't want to. They were one of my best, but they never mentioned having a daughter."
The hunter pulled the hammer up on his pistol and slowly lowered his gun, though he didn't put the safety on. He was a quick draw of the hand if he had to shoot quickly. Dean was still wary of this woman, not sure if he could fully trust her. This universe was vastly different if her parents never mentioned having a kid to him.
"I've met hunters at the safehouse, yes, but more than half of them are dead because of this virus. I've lost good men and women because of it." Dean was solemn as he spoke.

The gun in his hand never lowered or relaxed, finger staying curled around the trigger. "Yeah, and I've heard that same thing from myself 20 years ago, sweetheart," he spoke gruffly. "I've also heard the same thing from people in the early stages of the virus. I've never met you in my entire life, so I can't trust you or what you say."
She says that she's a hunter, but she definitely didn't have the looks of one, so that definitely was leaving Dean on edge. From the main universe to this one, Dean's looks, attitude, and demeanor were polar opposite from each other. On top of it, Sam was nowhere to be found. He had said yes to Lucifier and this was the result of it. Basically the end of the world.

Here, Dean was cold. Hell, he's killed his own men because he had a hunch that they had the virus. He'd shoot them in cold blood and not even flinch. He'd do it again with this woman if he had to. The look on her face, though? It could be a trick and it may be the early stages of the virus.
"I said don't fucking move," the man barked out, finger curled firmly around the trigger of his gun. He didn't know Sonny nor recognize her and it showed, keeping his pistol trained on her. Everyone there knew who he was. Dean was known for ending the first plague and now it was back. "Who the hell are you?"

Dean had been out patrolling the broken down and abandoned buildings, looking up and down each alley. Itβs been twenty years since the first outbreak and now there was another. He had thought they had gotten rid of them the first time, but they were back. They were somehow back and worse than last time and stronger. Twenty years ago, he would have just been wearing civilian clothes. Now? It was basically a full armor suit just because the monsters haveΒ gotten so bad.
Pistol tight in hand as he walked, making sure that he steps were silent as to not alert anything or anyone, Dean suddenly turned on his heels, pointing his gun at whatever was behind him with his jaw set tight and finger on the live gun. Dean was just about to pull the trigger out of raw instinct when he saw who it was that had been behind him.
βWell, shit,β he murmured and slowly lowered his gun just a little bit, voice gruff and smelling of weed.Β βNever thought Iβd see you again. What? Get another run-in with them angels again?β
