Milou felt Lady Luck smile down on her as she saw Jamie about to enter the library. Just the person she needed.

She wouldn't be able to catch up to him in time though and resorted to calling out for him instead. Milou didn't really care that she was literally at the other end of the hallway and was well aware she'd probably be disturbing multiple classrooms. Still, that didn't stop her from putting on her best honey dripping voice and yell out.

"Oh Oh Oh! Jimmy Jamie James, do you have a minute for your favourite dormmate?"

sorrow & despair  ──  nigh centuries have passed since she had felt those emotions to the highest extent. some days, she felt curious to remember what they were like. although now that her wish had been granted, she thoroughly regretted it. when destiny's slave offered a guiding hand, she had not anticipated to end up standing before the one she once dearly held close to her heart.

a close companion that she deemed worthy of her trust  ──  only to then be ripped away from her by supposed death. a whirlwind of emotions ranging from ecstasy to confusion and even anger made itself home inside her. finally while gripping on the last strands of her composure, she took notice of his demeanor & settled on a conclusion. even so, of all the words she could have given him, she gave him a plea.     ❝ don't look at me like i am a stranger. ❞

doe-eyed, violet hues met her sister's golden gaze. despite the older's words of comfort, her whole body was trembling with every breath she took. when she finally mustered up the strength to speak, a deep frown was etched onto her visage. ⠀ “ but not like this, zarina, ” ⠀ milou's words were merely above a whisper.

however, despite the shakiness in her voice, the sheer magnitude of her emotions was clearly evident within it. the young girl was not only scared — but she was frightened. but could you blame her ? to have death's hand be at your beckon call was more than a child could handle. nyx not only tormented her mind, but body alike. 

it's the first time the young maiden has experienced such despair in her short life, and later she would find out that this is but one of the many more moments to come. but for now, she was exposed to what she really was — a scared little girl with no place in the world, looking to her sister with a silent plea in her eyes. ⠀ “ what is happening to me ? ”
