There was an intimacy to be found when students had wandered back to their dorms or to clubs at the end of the day.  There was an intimacy in the silence offered by empty classrooms,  only the glimmering sun and the still books and potions,  ingredients tucked away,  to bear witness to this burning desire turning them to sin.  How hushed the boys were,  as if at any moment they might be found by prying eyes,  of other dorms or faculty.  Yet this did not deter the Scarabia student.  Nor his victim to be.  No god would have mercy on the boy,  not whilst he burned under those teasing touches,  those sharp eyes filled with such promise. How tightly slender arms wound their way around the student’s body,  long fingers and sharp claws leaving hot lines down the length of his back through his rumbled shirt.  Long legs tangled up in his prey’s own,  nudging his knees to part,  so he might fill the space with his own limbs,  his wide hips.
Grouping hands rose to tug at his shirt,  to touch his weighty chest,  his hands tracing and pinching.  And though the appeal was lost on Xia,  he did not knock aside those clumsy hands.  No,  his focus was on laying gentle kisses along his collar,  leading the way up his neckline until he felt that thunderous,  quivering pulse.  It was then that his lips did part,  and how his sharp fangs did sink just beneath the surface of warm flesh.  Skin dipped and and split around the sharp points of those long, serpentine fangs, and all at once there was the briefest tease of blood which bubbled up around the wound.  And his prey?  His prey gasped,  hands gripping and balling up the fist of his shirt,  before he grew lax,  as though he had lost all will to even attempt to fight back.

He was heavy in Xia’s arms,  but not in a cumbersome manner.  He had held up far heavier men and women,  and held them all the same. He bit down harder,  and sucked hard upon the wound,  forcing blood up where his fangs had torn,  had dug.  It was just for a better taste,  a measure of the worth of blood he would dine on for the evening,  to satisfy him for a few weeks. Slowly, he drew back some,  drawing his fangs out until only the tips lingered shallowly below the surface.

         REFERENCED CHAPTER SIX IGNIHYDE SPOILERS
Xia has always attempted to keep a rift between himself and everyone present at NRC,  to keep them from the jaws of the fox,  and to keep them from becoming potential targets should he ever lose control.  But at the frequency of things changing during his third year,  he’s beginning to grow all too aware of his own crippling emotions,  the thin veil of control he has over himself.  This comes to a head when Inari leaves during the events of cultural festival,  prior to Vil’s spiral into overblot,  without telling Xia,  almost as if the fox knew something he didn’t.
Though Xia did ignore this,  which he shouldn’t have,  as it was,  in a way,  a marker for things to come.
As his supply of suppressants dwindles throughout preparations for the festivities,  his hold on his more dangerous nature begins to crumble and he does begin to see his classmates as potential meals.  He also begins to consume less and less human food,  disappearing from the college at night by some means or another.  Some students begin to be reported as awakening very tired and unable to use any magic,  remaining dizzy and just showing general signs of blood loss.  However,  it is the curious case of their magic being notably completely depleted that would normally cause a ruckus if anyone noticed.  But with the focus on the festivities,  who is going to notice the downfall of a handful of students,  let alone peoples in the village outside of NRC?
At this time Yizhi no longer makes an appearance at Xia’s side,  and Xia’s pendant can be seen on his person,  though he doesn’t appear to use it.
Xia’s overblot is a slow and long drawn out event,  one which happens in the background,  and seems to happen shortly after Vil’s,  and shatters the barrier between human and monster for Xia.  He resides within his room after the events of his OB,  only allowing Jamil and Kalim to visit him,  as he is afraid that anyone he has previously deemed as prey might trigger his monstrous side.  As his vampiric nature has truly taken root,  Xia has been completely rewritten in a sense,  and can no longer hide his fangs,  nor the natural charm which allows him to draw his victims in,  making them complacent even if they already know he’s dangerous.  However,  Kalim and Jamil have always been able to skirt around this natural charm,  as it is read as being akin to poison.
When S.T.Y.X. attacks,  Xia does put up quite the fight,  even going so far as to attempt to use ARMY OF NONE,  his signature spell,  in his weakened state,  aware of how it could actually kill him in the process.  But,  of course,  he is no match for S.T.Y.X. and unlike the other OB’d students,  Xia receives a muzzle and cuffs,  along with his collar.  His magic may be dangerous,  but he is a vampire and his physical prowess is nothing to snub ones nose at.  He is not allowed to be close to the others,  and Jamil makes note of this,  though he does little to soothe him,  what with everything going down.  It is of note that Xia is carted away from the others very early to keep him in a separate and more secure containment chamber,  where he is actually given humans to consume.
And it gets ugly very fast,  as Idia observes that in acts of desperation,  Xia does go for the heart of his victims,  where he attempts to siphon off both magic and blood all at once.  It is a horrific and violent action which,  up to this point,  only Inari has witnessed.  And although the victim is left alive after the fact,  they are left in a coma which they may never wake up.  For Xia,  he uses this moment as a way to tell Idia that in no uncertain terms,  he is willing to do the same to everyone here,  starting with the Ignihyde dorm head.  So for the time being,  Idia has to keep him muzzled and cuffed,  at least until they have more control over him.
He does make it exhaustively difficult to find out any information on himself and how he came to be,  as even S.T.Y.X. could find no information concerning his true past and background.  But Idia does get to learn that the background given to Crowley and everyone else is a neatly fabricated tale as written up and tweaked by a mysterious benefactor for the vampire.  And that his vampiric blood most have originated within the Valley of Thorns.  And that Xia may actually be a full-blooded vampire,  but he views himself as being half-blooded due to his benefactor’s manipulation.
When the power goes out,  the other OB’d will find a trail of very real bodies lead them to Xia. He isn’t proud of it,  but it’s the fastest way to regain his strength and heal any wounds he had previously received in his OB state.  Even now,  more than ever,  he attempts to keep a distance the size of a graveyard between himself and the others,  because in his eyes they are all prey,  with the exception of Azul.  This is only because all he can do is siphon off Azul’s magic,  his blood is not a compatible food source.  Of course Riddle points out that Xia needs to work with them,  no matter how monstrous he may perceive himself.  Xia does point out that he has reached the point of no return,  so they should remain wary,  since he has no ties to them.

❝ A soft-spoken & mysterious junior within SCARABIA,  it is a wonder that Xia can keep up with the more energetic members of the dorm.  That aside,  if one needs anything,  anything at all,  he will gladly assist.  ❞
REPRESENTING THE FAIRYTALE : MULAN 1998 ( antagonist SHAN YU )
NAME  :  Li Xia ( pronounced LEE SH-YAH ) BIRTHDAY  :  March 26 ( Aries ) AGE  :  19  ( assumed ) HEIGHT  :  183 cm THREE SIZES  :  93/60/90 DOMINANT HAND  :  Ambidextrous HOMELAND  :  Land of Pyroxene / Shaftlands FAMILY  ;  a lie deceased OTHER NAMES  :  Kasumi ( by Inari )
GRADE  :  Junior CLUB  :  Equestrian Club BEST SUBJECT  :  Ancient Curses GEM LOCATION  :  Around the neck of their familiar,  a peregrine falcon named Yizhi MAGIC  :  Void / Cosmic
HOBBIES  :  Sewing PET PEEVES  :  Dealing with loud,  excitable people FAVORITE FOOD  :  Spicy Duck’s Neck LEAST FAVORITE FOOD  :  Caviar TALENT  :  Singing Dan roles in Peking Opera
SIGNATURE SPELL  :  Army of None.  This signature spell has only been witnessed by INARI at this point in time,  and is currently restricted from use due to the medical suppressants the fox is feeding the half-vampire.  Such a spell has been deemed too dangerous for use outside of worst case scenarios,  as it removes a mental blocker on Xia’s true nature.  It is a spell which increases Xia’s physical and magical strength and allows him the strength to take on an army alone,  pushing past his own limits.
OVERBLOT  :  Should Xia overblot,  one shall have a frightful fight upon their hand,  as Xia’s soft-spoken nature is overtaken by a rather cold-hearted,  sadistic,  and cruel warrior mentality.  As though the phantom of SHAN YU has taken over the Scarabia student. In his overblot state,  it appears that all restrictions on Army of None have been removed,  and have revealed his true nature as a bloodthirsty monster.  The root cause of his Overblot would circle back on Xia’s want to be seen as somebody else,  as someone who isn’t a monster.  To have someone reveal his secret hunger,  his vampiric nature to the student body would be the last straw to the rotting lock which Inari has affixed within the young man.   ❛ I didn’t want them to see me for who I really am  . . .  It wasn’t supposed to be like this.  I can’t help myself!  You have to believe me,  I am that which you should fear.  ❜
Outside of PYROXENE,  Li Xia is the only surviving child of the Li family or so he says,  though,  with some digging one will come to find that there is no record of a Li family or a Li Xia.  In a place so large,  is it really a surprise if one cannot pinpoint the exact origins of one particular person?  Whatever the reason behind the lack of information,  or why Xia is so adamant that this is the truth,  remains just one of the many mysteries surrounding the otherwise charming lad.

as far as twst goes,  Xia is not a replacement for Yuu.  and is suffering in SCARABIA.  Kalim has so much energy,  and Xia does not,  so often times he does attempt to avoid his housewarden.  it doesn’t help that during his active hours,  his hunger for blood is so strong that he has thought about eating his dorm-mates,  at least until he can get his medication from his boss.  few have any knowledge of what Xia is,  and he would like to keep it that way,  as it makes life much easier if the world doesn’t know of his more  . . .  abysmal traits.
INARI,  the frost-kissed kitsune who he works for,  makes a point to laugh about how much energy the students of Scarabia have compared to him,  and often makes him work even harder in hiding whatever dastardly deals they make with the student body,  and hiding these dealings from Crowley and anyone else who might snitch.  though one would expect Xia to dislike Inari over this treatment,  they are surprisingly on good terms.  enough so that Inari has talked to Xia about,  perhaps,  asking to be reassigned to DIASOMNIA,  where the students don’t seem half as energetic  ...  of course,  that’s only because Inari has yet to meet Lillia or Sebek,  and Xia isn’t sure how to tell them about those two.

ch4 very much felt like another day in Xia’s life.  well,  a little more freeing,  considering how he just ignored Kalim and Jamil,  and any other students from his dorm.  and he wasn’t actually in his own dorm at all during winter break.
if it weren’t for the fact that he was always at Inari’s side,  he might have actually gotten to witness Jamil’s overblot and how the Octavinelle students helped to deal with that mess.  but Xia really couldn’t care less.  he’d already seen enough with Leona’s OB.  besides,  taking care of a skulk of foxes is so much more important then a bunch of boys revealing their weakness to the world.
