“How... How violent do you want it to get?” Though the question is directed at Miranda, it is also directed at Sawyer themselves. How violent do they want to get? Were they willing, wanting, to go so far as to feed? Steal the very life from their friend all for a secret fling in a barn? For a moment their hand reaches to the clasp on the back of their choker. Fingers trace around the latch that locks it in place. Then they stop. They won’t go that far, can’t go that far. Where would be the romance? To just steal Miranda’s life in a barn during a fling, without even telling her before hand. It’d be wrong. Suitable for prey not a princess, not a friend. If they were to go that far Miranda deserved better. Silk sheets, rose petals, satin curtains all to be stained red, the color of passion, the color of love. Nearly killed but not, half her life and half of theirs shared between one another. A life for a life was not something you shared in a pile of hay in a near abandoned barn. “We... There is a familiarity to Miranda’s warning. In the same way she warns that she does not speak ill of the sea Sawyer is reminded of how their elders used to warn them not to speak ill of Asmodeus lest he hears them. Then and now Sawyer wonders why. Are both so fearful of their imperfections that they can not handle criticism from those beneath them? With such magnificent power as they have why should they be so concerned as to what others say of them? Both can grant and take life without so much as a second thought. So why does so much as an ill spoken word bother them so. The first thought that comes to Sawyer’s mind as an answer is cowardice. Despite such great power they are fearful of being perceived as anything but all mighty. They are cowards. But Sawyer shoves that thought from their mind. They have no right to call anyone but themselves such a word.

“I see.” Is all they can manage for a time before they fall silent once more. Yet curiosity gets the best of them as it often does and they speak once more. “Have you ever wanted too?”

OH! Well this is certainly a mood enhancer. They had been annoyed by some news from home before. However now they couldn’t even remember what that news was.
