          Arya’s cheeks heat up at Ariel’s thanks, looking away as she reaches up to brush her bangs out of her face.

                    “ Um, yeah, sure thing Ariel. It’s no big deal. Just um… saw it and… thought of you… ” Her cheeks heat up all the more at her own words, her eyes widening. Thought of you? Why would she say that? That sounds like much more than the casual decision to gift the tea pot she had gotten to Ariel. Which! It definitely was just a passing thought, and not an immediate reaction to stop the three different tasks she’d been supposed to be doing to bring it to her.

Yeah. Just a super casual passing thought.

Oh, she’s so screwed.

          “ I’m glad you liked it, though. ” Arya says, trying to move pass her own awkward words as she pushes her foot around in the sand to look anywhere buy Ariel.

            she  pauses  what  she’s  doing    as  arya  speaks…  a  sad  expression  on  her  face  before  rubbing  her  arm,  ❝    to  be  honest,  i’m  still  kinda  getting  used  to  everything  myself.    ❞  it  was  odd…  trying  to  regain  this  kind  of  momentum  that  she  doesn’t  remember  having.  she’s  sure  that  it  was  hard  for  arya  to  remember  everything  as  well…

              ❝    i  don’t  think  you  should  give  up,  arya.  i  think  you’re  doing  a  good  job,  if  that  means  anything.  i  don’t  think  we  would  have  been  able  to  move  as  fast  if  it’s  not  for  your  help.    ❞

          Arya frowns as Ara essentially rejects the compliment, refusing to believe that she’s as strong as Arya knows she is. 

Ara is, honestly, everything Arya wants to be when she’s older. Smart, kind, poised, beautiful. She has a grace about her that Arya has never seen so evident in another person. Arya yearns to one day have the same presence as Ara, but she knows it’ll probably never happen. As much as she tries around the valley, there’s always been something teaming at her edges. Being drawn more and more towards the villains and their use of magic. 

She shakes her head. 

          “ That’s not such a bad thing, though, is it? I think we all ended up here because we were running away from things, and in doing that we found something better, didn’t we? ” She can’t see Ara as anything but strong, not after being around her for this long.
