"         𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲         .   .   .         𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝   𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞.         my   personal   favourite.         "                     fiona   reaches   to   take   the   menu   back   though   this   time,      it’s   her   holding   them   up   by   lingering.            ―            there’s   something   about   tyler’s   body   language.         growing   up   in   the   south   side,      you   learnt   at   a   very   early   age   to   recognise   the   signs   of   brewing   trouble.      mostly   because   it   was   always   waiting   around   every   corner.         right   now,      this   guy   looked   like   a   paranoid   frank   trying   to   hide   from   somebody   he   owed   money   to.         the   voice   inside   her   head   insists   not   my   problem,   not   my   problem         .   .   .         and   yet?         she   still   breaks.         something   about   raising   five   kids   made   it   hard   to   turn   a   blind   eye,      triggering   something   oddly   empathetic   in   fiona   even   if   she   wouldn’t   admit   it.                     "         it’s   cool.         i   probably   could’ve   been   more   patient.         i’m   still   working   on   that   whole   bubbly   customer   service   personality.         "                     cherry   pie   is   quickly   scribbled   down   on   pad   before   she   tears   the   piece   of   paper   off,      passing   it   to   one   of   the   girls   to   take   to   the   kitchen.                     "         don’t   take   this   the   wrong   way,      but         .   .   .         is   everything   okay?         the   last   person   who   came   in   here   jumpy   as   fuck   tried   to   empty   the   till   and   i’m   warning   you   now,      i’ve   got   a   bat   stashed   behind   here.         "                     it’s   a   joke.            ―            or   at   least,      half   a   joke.         an   attempt   to   get   him   to   relax.
