perhaps soren should have expected as much with something called tournament of the roses, though he may have been a little extra irritated due to the random watering of his eyes that would occur since arriving in the reach. nearly everything he passes is too over the top or too colorful for his liking, yet he wades through the markets to keep busy and on the off chance he'll find something of use. ❝ that was more bloodshed than i was expecting. ❞ amusement replaces where there is usually disappointment in soren's voice, now wishing he had tried this ridiculous thing.

he does not stray too far from kaelys or maery, keeping the youngest greyjoy in his sights at all times while waiting. whether they were waiting to leave or for a fight was left to be seen, the islander looking forward to either right about now as his annoyance with the south has seemed to reach its peak. eyes catch another's in a brief moment, but return to them, curious about anyone orbiting the crowned princess. ❝ i was told the women used to defend bear island, ❞ he notes, his little knowledge of house mormont coming from maery's ramblings.
