“I can handle it! I’m not afraid!” Her expressions lit up, eyes practically twinkling with excitement. “I mean, my bodyguard will be there so… What do I have to be scared of?”

“Guess I will be, won’t I?” Cloud was practically grinning. Just the effect Aerith had on him. “I’ll make sure to keep you safe in case it gets rough.”

“You sure you could handle it? It could be... Dangerous, being that high up.”

“You were waiting for me to cuddle to you?” She grinned, then nestled up nice and close to Cloud’s chest, tucking her head under his chin with a gentle sigh. “Comfy…?”

“Maybe a little bit...”

Cloud moved over to accommodate for Aerith joining him, before he allowed one of his arms to wrap around her and pull her in tight. A sigh breathed past his lips as he tucked his head over top of hers and closed his eyes.

“... Yeah. Very comfy.”

His lips tugged in a gentle smile. Comfy indeed.
