I came here alone sadness but it turned out, it became wonderful memories! I appreciate ppl in Usuki. You are very kind and made me happy. And Thank you for an amazing TAKEYOI Festival. It was gorgeous. And I also enjoyed the history of Usuki. 臼杵竹宵。これ作るのにどのくらいの時間と苦労があったのだろう。作った方たち凄いな、ありがたい。

Usuki, Japan. Kyushu which’s Japanese southern part consists of some prefectures. I went to the on of them, Oita. They have a traditional festival, which is called take-yoi. “Take” means bamboo in Japanese. They decorate bamboo with candles. It’s accident when I just leave for Oita. A friend called me, and she said she can’t go 😱for some reason. Then went there alone. Took a ship slept alone... and arrived at Usuki. I’d been sad a bit till the night. But my mind had changed looking these amazing candles. The candles made me happy. On top of that, the owner in my guest house were so kind to me and ppl in Usuki were also nice.
