I haven’t done a makeup post in a hot minute. I’ve been pretty obsessed with these @laneige_us two-tone lipsticks. These aren’t new to the market but they are new to me. These make creating that Korean lip gradient color a lot easier. Unlike Western makeup trends, the Korean style is to have the darker shade placed on the inside center with the color getting lighter on the outside. It mimics a more youthful, just-had-a-popsicle look. . 💋 Laneige Two Tone Lip Bar: The 2 in the light pink package with clear tops are a sheer glossy finish. The two tones are in a triangle shape with the darker shade in the middle surrounded by a lighter color. . 💋 Laneige Two Tone Matte Lip Bar: The metallic packaging is the matte cream formula. The two tone is designed in a diagonal line. . 💄 REVIEW: I definitely like triangle design of the gloss finish more. It’s easier to concentrate the darker shade in the center of your lips and to get an even gradient. None of these last long. Maybe about 3 hours with no eating or drinking. But I love the way it looks. I used the glossy ones more during the summer but now I’m reaching more for the matte since they are slightly darker and richer shades. I think if you have thin lips, you will most likely not enjoy these since it will be hard to get the enough of the lighter shade on the perimeter of your lips for you to do a proper gradient. . 😘 In the 3rd photo, I’m wearing the matte shade in Soft Knit. You can see that the shade contrast in the tube looks more stark but on the lips it’s more subtle. Also the shades in general in the tube look brighter than how they look on my lips. Overall, I love these a lot and want all the shades! 🤣 . I purchased these from @yesstyle.
