[뉴스엔 황혜진 기자] 가수 방용국이 돌아온다.

방용국은 2월 26일 소속사 YY엔터테인먼트 공식 채널을 통해 컴백 포스터를 공개하며 신보 발매 소식을 알렸다.

지난해 5월 두 번째 EP 'THE COLORS OF LOVE(더 컬러즈 오브 러브)'를 내고 첫 월드투어에 돌입한 방용국은 일본 오사카를 시작으로 미국 10개 도시(졸리엣, 보스턴, 뉴욕, 샬럿, 애틀랜타, 오스틴, 댈러스, 덴버, 로스앤젤레스, 오클랜드), 유럽 5개 도시(런던, 리스본, 쾰른, 파리, 바르샤바), 아시아 6개 도시(마닐라, 싱가포르, 홍콩, 쿠알라룸푸르, 타이페이, 방콕)에서 팬들을 만나며 월드투어를 성공적으로 마쳤다.

이후 음악 작업에 매진한 방용국은 10개월 만에 3번째 EP '3'으로 컴백을 확정했다. 특히 자신의 생일인 3월 31일에 맞춰 신보를 발매하기로 확정하며 의미를 더했다.

YY엔터테인먼트는 "오랜 시간 준비한 방용국의 새 앨범을 기대해 달라"며 "방용국 생일에 발매되는 특별한 의미의 앨범인 만큼 국내외 팬들을 만나는 특별한 선물이 됐으면 좋겠다"고 전했다.

이어 "그동안 만나지 못한 국내 팬들과의 만남도 준비 중"이라고 덧붙여 국내외 팬들의 기대를 모으고 있다.

방용국은 2012년 데뷔한 이후 빼어난 음악성을 기반으로 많은 팬들의 사랑을 받아오고 있다. 진정성을 바탕으로 항상 새로운 음악을 선보여 온 방용국이 이번엔 어떤 음악을 들려줄지 주목된다.

쿠알라룸푸르는 알리는 큰 행사도 열렸는데 1998년 커먼웰스 게임과 2017년에는 동남아시아 게임 주최하였으며 2020년에는 세계 책의 수도로 선정이 되었습니다.

기후는 열림 우림 기후로 연중 습도가 높고 기온이 비교적 일정한데 22도~33도 사이를 유지하며 건기는 12월~2월이며 4월, 5월, 9월~11월 사이에는 우기로 많은 비가 내립니다. 습도는 80% 이상일 정도로 높습니다.

‘A GROUP OF SIX’ APINK IS BACK IN MALAYSIA! THIS TIME, EXCLUSIVELY!

Kuala Lumpur, September 9 - Although they have frequently come to Malaysia previously, Apink is finally here in Menara PGRM on the 9th of September for their very own first exclusive concert, “2018 Apink Asia Tour”.

To begin their concert, the girls perform their title track of their latest album, ‘I’m So Sick’. The performance of their new song gathered huge cheers from their fans, PANDAs. After performing the first song for the opening stage, they proceeded with their greetings. Next, they performed their title songs from the past 3 years, ‘FIVE’ (2017), ‘Only One’ (2016) and ‘Remember’ (2015) in this sequence.

Since this is Apink’s exclusive concert, they finally had the chance to perform their side tracks that were unable to be performed back when they came to Malaysia in 2012, 2015 and last year, 2017. The first two songs that they performed are ‘Boom Pow Love’, ‘Kok Kok’, ‘Miss U’ and ‘Ding Dong’.

Apart from those songs, Apink also performed ‘Cause You’re My Star’ from their 2016 special album, “Dear” and proceeded by another side track, ‘Alright’. After the performance and a VCR, there was a talking session where the girls updated the fans on what they have been doing.

Leader Chorong, as a homebody she is, said that she was raising a plant and it has since been growing well. She also informed everyone that it has no name yet, so she wanted a suggestion. A PANDA then shouted ‘nasi lemak’ and wanted the plant to be named after it. As for Bomi, she became a YouTuber and uploaded various videos on YouTube.

For the next member, Eunji spoke some English and told the fans that she is filming a horror movie and preparing for a solo album as well as a solo concert. Do expect a new masterpiece from the group’s main vocal and support her! Naeun, on the other hand, focused on commercial films and modelling jobs as always. Namjoo did some mukbang and tried various food, which Bomi then suggested her to film a mukbang in Malaysia and received the suggestion of trying the signature Malaysian dish, nasi lemak.

Last but not least, maknae Hayoung continues to play game as her second job after being a singer. She then mentioned that she is on the variety show, Secret Unnie, with Girls’ Generation Hyoyeon and performed few seconds of their debut song, ‘Into The New World’ and their new unit, Oh!GG’s song ‘Lil Touch’. She also said that she is learning English where her unnies teased her and wanted her to speak in English. There is a moment where Eunji suddenly gave her a sudden spelling quiz for the word ‘expect’. Luckily, Hayoung was able to answer perfectly!

After the long chatting session, they performed ‘Forever Star’ and ‘Eyes’. They then went back to time and performed their 2013 and 2014 hit title songs, ‘NoNoNo’, ‘Luv’ and ‘Mr. Chu’ back to back which hyped the crowd once again. For the encore stage, the girls performed ‘Promise Me’, ‘Drummer Boy’ and ‘The Wave’.

Although the girls have come to Malaysia so many times and this being the 4th time (5th time for Namjoo), PANDAs are still hyped for their performances and the number of fans has definitely increased since 2012 when they first come. We are sure that the next time Apink comes to visit Malaysia again, many fans will still be as excited as they are during their first visit.

Until Apink comes back to Malaysia again, remember to support the girls, especially Eunji who announced that she is coming back with a solo album soon and a concert!
