⸻ this kind of conversation felt like one the winchester had way too often. it was times like this where delaney wish she had her blindness to this world back. where everything was just about school and her friends. getting to bug sam whenever she wanted since they went to school an hour away from each other. called dean just to hear his voice for thirty seconds while he was wherever he was with john.

but that life seemed like a completely other universe ever since the supernatural had been shoved into her hands. ever since she had to find out that john wasn't her biological father and that her real father was lucifer of all beings. once god's favorite angel and now the very thing that wanted to not only destroy the universe but steal sam along with it. have her use her stronger abilities to help him destroy the planet mixed with his own.

"this is the only way i can think of to save sammy, dean," delaney finally said, licking her dry lips. lord, she hated this. hated having to even face the fact she'd never see sam, camden or dean again. however, sam and dean saved her life more times than she could ever count. her two biggest protectors in life and now it was her turn to protect them. even if it meant potentially sacrificing herself if this all went sideways. "i can find a weak spot or something. we know lucifer won't hurt me. not if he needs me. you're always saving me, dean. let me save sam -- and you at the end of the day -- this time."

DELANEY COULD NOT EXPLAIN THIS DRAW TO SERENITY. she should be ripping her head from her shoulders and yet here she was in her lap instead. as if entranced by a song that serenity wasn't even singing to begin with. a soft gasp filtered out of her lips as their hips rocked against each other and serenity gripped at her waist. "and if i said i wanted you to devour me, what would you say?"

⸻ "I -- I'M FINE, BUT IT'S JACK," delaney told her twin, sniffling and not even bothering to stop the tears from her eyes. her heart raced in panic and she had tried multiple times to try and sense where he was. but every time she came up empty. "i can't find him. there was a bright light and then he was gone. i think something happened to him."

delaney closed her eyes and released a slow breath, trying to calm her nerves from being all over the place. she licked her dry lips and blinked her eyes open when she was sure she could properly speak this time. in all honesty, delaney hadn't exactly planned to tell any of her brothers about her nightmares. but this last one was too much and she needed to tell someone and the best one to tell was sammy. the only one of her brothers who actually understood. "lucifer   . . .   he -- he visited me in my dream last night. told me the plans he has for if he can get you to say yes to him. what does he mean by that?"

a

delaney had seen her brother dean angry a billion times before. some of those times being at her when she'd snuck out of the motel rooms or bobby singer's house to go out with friends. or if she had gone and done the exact opposite of what he'd asked of her. had seen how he'd screamed at sam and john when they'd get into their fights right before john's death. however   . . .   delaney had never seen her brother like this. seeing red and losing his chill on a demon. a demon that they need alive and breathing to give them information. so she darted over to him before he could stab through the demon with a demon blade and gripped to his arm, trying not to put too much of her angel and demon strength into the grip. "dee! there is a person in there," she yelled, sniffling and shaking her head as she glanced down at the demon's bloodied face. however, it was nothing compared to the true face of the demon she saw beneath alll the blood. a sight she'd never really get used to if she were honest. "an innocent person   . . .   and we need the information they have or we'll get nowhere."

the youngest winchester held in her feelings a lot more than she'd ever let on to dean, camden or sam. too many emotions for her to really sort through herself without having their added commentary on top of it. struggled with the weight of knowing what it meant to be lucifer's daughter. knew that lucifer lurked in the darkness, waiting to lur her out and get her to rule at his side down in hell. to demolish the planet earth and take the crown. a crown she didn't even want. lucifer's little demon princess   . . .   as all the demons loved to so taunt her with. had him crashing her nightmares and trying to reason with her. she had thought she had been alone when all her anxieties spilled out and she cried, but then she felt the familiar strength of dean's arms around her. same ones that used to do the same when she'd been sick or upset when they were all growing up. her brother in shining armor. the man she always pictured with a flowing cape because he was practically her hero. but this was one time she didn't want him to save her. didn't want him to see her like this. "n-no, de-dee   . . .   " she tried to weakly push him away, but the minute his arms were secured around her she crumbled. fell right into his chest and broke down, soaking up his shirt in instant seconds.
