So, been gone for a while and I have a few announcements on things this month! Honestly? I’ve had some stuff (TM) go on and also just needed a little break, but in no means am I giving up my favorite character and my adventures slow or fast as they are, on my blog.

Probably the most important info is that My Yuri’s Birthday is On December 10th, so I will be most active and slowly making my way back to work on things in about five days. Even if it’s slow. 

Second bit, I also write on Edward from (F.MA) at @fullmtal​ and you can definitely follow me there as he is my secondary blog. I’ve been giving him focus as his hiatus lasted... pretty much the entire year due to all the life stuff going on, so don’t be surprised if you see me going back in forth once I get momentum back here!

I will be returning on the 9th or 10th to prep for Yuri’s birthday, as his blog is now essentially two years old, you guys are welcome to send in asks or whatever you want as I take the king’s bday very seriously (ha just kidding any interactions would be fun and he’s a hell of a unique hero-protagonist breaking the mold as he does, so I want him to get some love as he’s the best of the best to his mun. ) 

I WILL BE EDITING AND KEEPING SOME THINGS ON MY PINNED POST.  MY PINNED POST IS RIGHT HERE  if anyone is curious. 

Other than that just a slow easy transition back here while having fun on Edward too, though as ever, I am a Yuri Stan foremost, and a human second. ( Is she joking or not who knows. ) 

Hope you guys are weathering this month and I’ll be back soon to get started on some stuff I definitely even I admit, am overdue. Still, remember this isn’t a job and take care yeah? Looking forward to Yuri’s birthday.

Happy New Year Folks. Like a lot of us, it hasn’t been easy as hell huh? My activity in writing I Had to come to grips with being back and forth here and on Edward . And that’s okay. Life in other aspects kept hitting me like a truck every month, and never openly admit if I’m having a hard time out of pride and I’m not the kind to open up. At all.  But I’m thankful to all my mutuals here, on the king himself, and on the short king himself @fullmtal​ and anywhere else you see me. Thanks for bein’ cool, for bein’ yourself, and let’s aim to kick 2022′s ass if it wasn’t good enough this year. Insert some shonen speech but , we got this ,  and I’m glad you’ve stuck with me. Next year this blog will be two years old. 

As Yuri is incredibly and impossibly dear to me, my spirit animal and someone I resonate with deeply and have been impacted by, like Ves.peria has many, hell, Tal.es in general, I’m looking forward and aiming to set my goals to get my writing back on track with him, recognizing I needed to take it slow, even static. But never losing my passion for justice man. 

Thanks for bein’ here, and if you aren’t here then on Edward, who I’ll probably make a separate post. It means a lot. To all the friends I made this year, and all who are still here, thanks folks. You are as real to me if we were drinking really sugary coffee in person, and I’ll always work to treat you no different, /as I see you no different/. 

Take it easy and don’t pressure yourself. Your pace isn’t gonna be everyone else’s. Mine isn’t. Yours isn’t. Don’t do that to yourself. 

Now let’s kick some ass, we’re stronger than whatever’s coming, and as much as you might not think so -- no bad thing lasts forever, as life is constantly changing. Gotta pump that realism. I can’t do it for you, but I can recommend that knowing that all things have a season or blah blah blah really is a thing.

So let’s just keep moving. Forward is all you can go, going backwards is pointless. I don’t understand your situations, and you don’t mine, but we can go halfway and still get it.  We’re still mutuals / and friends who I like to think are like a wolf pack. So if you need me hit me up on DMS or IMS. Hell, I’ll endure IMs for my mutuals. 

Thanks for sticking by me. Maybe next year I’ll try to be more open and learn to express my emotions better. Or you’ll just get your usual snarky Lily. Folks? Probably the second.

since tales of arise is coming out early for me, i actually for once in four-five years got intrigued in a tal.es game beyond my favorites outside my favorite tales / game: tov, i’m actually pleasantly surprised. i did rinwell’s demo since i hate casting, i’d rather go in full front melee and stab every time. i want to do the heroine’s, but i’m gonna hold off. 

this said, once it drops i’m not going to be commenting on it. although if i do, you can tag, arise spoilers, toa spoilers, tales of arise spoilers. i’ll always put those there. i will be very tempted and surprised that i am, not to at some point pick up when i have everything caught up and the big hype dies down, miss pink who is not what she seems (shionne). so if you want that game to be spared by me since i don’t ever wanna spoil something for you, i’d tumblr savior those tags / blacklist until you yourself ever wanna play.

knowing me though any other character i’d write or would write will always come very low in priority to yuri. to me, this is pretty much the the actual blog - blog since i’m here all of the time writing wise. if i do really feel pulled to write who i’m pretty sure i’m highest interested in (gunslinger healer lady), i’ll let people who are interested know. for now i’m going to keep chipping at my backlog and the daily grind. thanks!

something about Yuri having an education in his main / secondary FMA verse when he literally was born and knew only death starvation and poverty and lower class being murdered as a CHILD?? orphaned and no family in his canon? and his heart still continued early and eternally past post game to bleed for the oppressed?

to sacrifice and bear good and bad things like every human? the one you never thought would be our unorthodox hero and possess many other facets in ves.peria??? gets to have one. the guy drank water from the river his entire life because the government couldn’t bother to care for dying and dehydrated lower class. literally yuri’s entire quest / hero’s journey starts because the noble quarter / a thief steals their WATER supply. 

and when he goes to the royal quarter? says ‘what you want water? go get your own.’ i literally have caps upon caps upon why yuri’s actions / very very unique brand of chaotic good / heroism / multi-faceted complexities are pretty justified when he was living in literal hell. the empire is evil, corrupted to the point someone had to make a last resort. it is mostly for pomp and circumstance while its people rot and suffer. all this yuri saw as a child. waiting and biding time won’t stop countless if not thousands from dying. in this case, a lot like fma, extreme measures / last resort measures were necessary which is why ironically yuri actually would join the military if only to root out the evil / corruption / battle against it. just like he does in canon.

while nobles up in the Royal quarter just.. spit on commoners. killed them for fun. didn’t even give them graves .. just ashes. and these people an uneducated Yuri knew..

and now?

Yuri actually learns how to read. actually gets food three times a day without him being selfless and giving up his rations to kids all his growing up / adulthood. actually can afford money beyond guild work. and still is that massive force of chaotic unconventional good.

it’s what he deserves.

big props to everyone who sent in asks for yuri’s birthday. since well, i don’t count them belated you can still send them even  four days after if you want ! i’ll be tackling those, coloring a manga panel of yuri and just glad i have good friends who do things with me, be it ship partners who i all value equally? or familial / platonic bonds which are just as special. think this guy earned a damn good birthday considering all he goes through! will work on these and then get to a point in my manga of f.ma (aka notes notes notes ) and brotherhood where i balance that too.

once i’m done with this game i’ll have more info on my verse. i’ll put it under the cut but for now, imagine hootle sitting on repede’s head. there is no verse without his partner and if anyone is a pro at going up against corrupt / oppressive rules (hello empire of terca lumireis) and doing his part to make things better? it’s yuri. i’ll put some stuff i have ideas for under the cut. note yuri can be as involved in the plot as toa writers want him to be. i don’t aim to step on toes.

around 22-23. dahnan slave who removed his spirit core with his own group.

from orbus caliglia, so he’s in contact with the crimson crows as a smaller leader of a resistance group that isn’t as well known, the black wolves. safe to say they’re more hit and run operations with force as ever, he is a master warrior and has a lot of respect for zephyr. 

befriended a zeugle he named repede , as repede would only be a foreign thing in this world, as rena has altered significantly the wildlife. no one really understands how yuri managed it, but the beast is now his partner and serves as a messenger much like migal’s cat did.

group is mostly compromised of brave vesperia, karol is only allowed to do delivery duties that are guaranteed to be safe to the crows in ulzebek.

granted yuri is a one man army himself, he often will do his own disruptions. his right hand unless interacting with someone in this verse is either flynn or judith. or both. he didn’t originally plan to be leader, but it just ‘worked out that way’ as he called it. 

yuri’s nickname among the renans is the ‘big bad wolf’ more as a mocking term but some call him the ‘dark wolf’ due to the merciless nature in which his much smaller group  carries out effective missions. 

he will defer to zephyr and considers him someone of high respect.

while fiercely bitter and angry towards renans, he judges people by their worth and actions as ever, ex: he befriended a dog zeugle he even named and made use of him. now that ‘renan technology’ is his partner.

is recruitable to alphen’s cause and will more than gladly back up the team with master swordsmanship / martial arts. / adaptable in sheer fighting, really. 

is as ever also, the big brother. doesn’t matter the age, due to yuri’s innate nature as a rough natured, but no less heroic figure / benevolent person from his own game and well aware in it of rebellion and oppression, gentle to those younger than him and happy to train those that want to. often provides sarcasm and advice. 

extremely distrustful of renans regardless, and questions alphen’s  decisions if actually in his party due to alphen being considerably more naive and openly soft in nature versus yuri’s cold yet honest realism / pragmatism. does not take zephyr’s death well.

downloaded another eden and they literally nailed yuri’s look this literally slaps and i’ll try to make screencaps of his lil appearance in the trailer. plus his description fits his actions to a damn t and i think it’s neat how it rhymes. just all the details and the way everything is so finely done in details? demands a graphic honestly i just don’t know what for. you can also get cress, early on, then milla, then at chapter 9, velvet, then at a whopping thirteen, yuri himself for free just by doing the story quests. i’m only on cress and i’m enjoying the game a lot so far because it isn’t really...gacha oriented at all. it feels like an old school jrpg.

plus the protagonist is a funny dork and his sister is wholesome, follows some of the same formulas as usual jrpgs but it definitely is a lot of fun. also this is how i imagine yuri’s actual hair length to be beyond this art collab.

not clipped in his game because it’s so long, but the actual length.  either way the king is looking great and the art of cress, milla and velvet is also really good if they’re your favorite tal.es chara! it’s relaxing to play when my main game mobile wise, crestoria, isn’t make me frantically look for gleamstones as generous and awesome as crestoria is, if a yuri / banner i like pops up. this is even somehow more chill than crestoria and that’s saying a lot.
