even when she was alive -- when she was human, she loved halloween. it had always been something she enjoyed. the decorations, the movies -- all of it. even the weather. the colors of fall had finally reached new orleans and julie was reveling in it.
there were flyers for a party, one in the very cemetary she met lestat in all those years ago. she thought it would do them both some good to get out and enjoy themselves. it had been some time. the others had gone their own ways for now so it was only the two of them left, which was fine by her. sweeping the lipstick across her lower lip, she knew that tonight would be the one night that she didn't have to hide at all. sure, people always thought the band was a gimmick, and sure she fed into it more often than not but she could be her true self.
of course, she hadn't told lestat yet.
making her way through the house, she found him in his favorite chair by the fire and she leaned over and lips pressed against his cheek and she hummed softly. ❝ come with me to the party, love. you'll have fun and we can get takeout for dinner. ❞
