thinking about ysayle's scion verse, and i will absolutely be keeping her status as a vessel for shiva as canon, and it is not... a pretty thing. shiva might be born in part of love, but i think given ysayle's own struggles, she's also a being of rage and grief — one that, at times, ysayle herself can barely contain. i think much of her growth post-heavensward will revolve around ysayle learning to live in harmony with this, and grow stronger through the love and support of those around her; the scions become something akin to the family that was stripped away from her when she was young, and its through her work with them that she finds atonement & forgiveness within herself.

SILENCE FALLS OVER THE RUINS as sleep takes the famed Warrior of Light and the young elven boy beside her. There is little to say in the space without them; or perhaps little more Ysayle cares to say as she studies the equally infamous man still staring at the fire. Estinien. His name has yet to leave her lips dripping with anything more than venom and vitriol, but if there's anything this journey has served to teach her, it remains thus: things are not always as they seem, and perhaps there is more to the Azure Dragoon than she might prefer to think.
